Job Description/Preferred Qualifications
Electrical Engineering Support. Assist with design of products and test equipment for electrical engineering.
Core Responsibilities:
Support engineering activities related to development of new products and test equipment.
Perform tests, fault isolation and feedback root causes of issues on engineering designs.
Assist in the design, construction, test and check-down of production test equipment.
Assist in documentation of new and existing products.
Minimum Qualifications
Experience or current course study toward a BS degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering.
Must have experience with C/C++, as this internship will involve collaboration with an embedded developer testing, validating and characterizing features of a new embedded (STM32H7 based) design.
Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, drawings, assemble prototypes.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work as an integral part of a project team.

Experience with graphical design software such as Autodesk AutoCAD

The Electrical Engineer, as part of the Equipment & Reliability Engineering Department at a major integrated petrochemical manufacturing facility, is responsible for specification, design, and maintenance of electrical equipment for all plant operations, including field installations. This individual will be responsible for developing maintenance and reliability strategies related to electrical equipment and for providing guidance to internal customers to maintain the reliability of the equipment. Duties will also include electrical plant modifications (Switchgear and Relay upgrades, MCC installations as well as UPS and substation battery systems.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES
* Provides technical support for the maintenance, operation, and troubleshooting of the refinery's electrical systems and equipment (including low, medium, and high voltage electrical equipment)
* Investigates electrical equipment failures and recommends actions to enhance the system and equipment reliability
* Develops electrical equipment specifications and associated reliability improvements/upgrade plans for that equipment

Qualifications
BASIC REQUIREMENT OR INDIVIDUAL OCCUPATIONAL REQUIREMENT:
A. Degree: Engineering. To be acceptable, the program must: (1) lead to a bachelor's degree in a school of engineering with at least one program accredited by ABET; or (2) include differential and integral calculus and courses (more advanced than first-year physics and chemistry) in five of the following seven areas of engineering science or physics: (a) statics, dynamics; (b) strength of materials (stress-strain relationships); (c) fluid mechanics, hydraulics; (d) thermodynamics; (e) electrical fields and circuits; (f) nature and properties of materials (relating particle and aggregate structure to properties); and (g) any other comparable area of fundamental engineering science or physics, such as optics, heat transfer, soil mechanics, or electronics.

B. Combination of education and experience -- college-level education, training, and/or technical experience that furnished (1) a thorough knowledge of the physical and mathematical sciences underlying engineering, and (2) a good understanding, both theoretical and practical, of the engineering sciences and techniques and their applications to one of the branches of engineering.
In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below:
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
GS-11: At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 level in the Federal service, which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skill, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience: Examples of this experience includes: Modeling and simulation professional theories, concepts, principles, techniques, and practices of computer engineering, electronics engineering and/or computer science.
GS-12: At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 level in the Federal service, which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skill, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience: Examples of this experience includes: Leading and/or performing engineering work involving electronic circuits, circuit elements and equipment systems; applying a number of diverse electronics engineering practices, techniques and processes to identify and resolve complex engineering issues; supporting the planning, testing and troubleshooting of electronics engineering systems or devices; and, developing computer aided engineering analysis and tools in support of planning and designing applications.
GS-13: At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the Federal service, which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skill, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience: Examples of this experience includes supporting the planning, execution, and instrumentation of electronics engineering tests; providing engineering support for tests, assessments, experiments and system evaluations; coordinating and directing the activities of engineers in the operation and maintenance of advanced hardware and facilities assessing the vulnerability of systems and subsystems; and developing analytical methods, tools, standards, and models and simulations used in electronics engineering and test planning.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs):
* Knowledge of electronics engineering concepts, principles, methods, techniques, and standard engineering practices to perform moderately difficult or relatively limited phases of a larger and more complex installation, operations, and maintenance engineering project.
* Knowledge of computer aided design and drafting (CADD) programs to perform design and drafting assignments, as well as other computer applications used in support of plans, analysis, and project reports.
* Skill in applying the principles, concepts, and practices of the occupation sufficient to perform limited assignments in the field of electronics engineering.
* Ability to communicate factual and procedural information clearly, orally and in writing.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

We are seeking a talented Electrical Engineer with expertise in electrical design, REVIT, and drafting for commercial building construction. This role involves working on a variety of projects, including mid to high-rise buildings, and provides the opportunity to grow within a dynamic and supportive environment.
Responsibilities
* Design and engineer electrical systems for commercial building construction using REVIT.
* Draft and perform calculations for services, voltage drop, and other electrical requirements.
* Collaborate with engineering staff to input red lines and markups into AutoCAD and REVIT.
* Develop electrical designs from schematic stages through to completion.
* Contribute to the electrical portion of projects for commercial and high-rise building construction.
Essential Skills
* Proficiency in REVIT and AutoCAD.
* At least 1 years of experience with an MEP consulting firm focusing on electrical design or drafting.
* In-depth knowledge of the NEC (National Electric Code).

Additional Skills & Qualifications
