Torch Technologies is seeking a Senior level Electrical/Electronic Engineer under the Technical and Management Advisory Services (TMAS) Armament Task Order contract to provide support to the Air Force at Eglin AFB, FL. As an Electrical Engineer your duties will include the following, but are not limited to: Support the Science and Technology (S&T) community in the development of advanced weapon concepts and technologies to dramatically improve weapon performance to include weapon-platform integration. Assist in identifying, developing and implementing technology investment ideas to mitigate capability gaps for warfighters, including definitions of scope of work, budget, schedule and risk to further technologies. Assist in generating system and subsystem requirements based on a thorough understanding of complex technical aspects of current and emerging threats, overarching warfighter requirements, capability trade studies, and emerging technologies. Assist and advise in performing complex system and subsystem tradeoff studies, to include make-buy decisions, functional allocations, cost, weight, size and performance. Prepare and coordinate written specifications, performance work statements and other technical documents (e.g. trip reports). Monitor S&T development progress and document/report this progress to the team. Evaluate requirements, functional descriptions, and hardware and software specifications for completeness and requirements traceability. Review hardware and software development plans and design documents for conformance with applicable standards and requirements. Review interface specifications, drawings, and design documents to assess functional, signal, electrical and physical interfaces. Provide advice in technical meetings, project reviews and test planning meetings. Monitor test planning and test conduct and document/report this progress to the team. Review test plans, procedures and schedules to evaluate completeness/accuracy, requirements traceability, compliance with test requirements, risks and risk mitigation plans. Review test reports for accuracy and completeness. Provide on-site test support (ground and flight). Design, plan, and support in-house tests to measure performance, reduce and analyze test results to quantify performance, and provide test result reporting. Job Requirements: U.S. Citizenship Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in Electrical/Electronic Engineering and/or Physics is required. At least 10 years' of applicable experience is also required. Additional years of relevant experience may be substituted for education requirements. Position requires candidates possess a current TOP SECRET security clearance with a background investigation completed within the past 5 years.
