About the Logistics & Storage (L&S) Organization:The Logistics & Storage organization is the link between the Refining and Marketing components of Marathon. Marathon Pipe Line Company (MPL) - MPL operates pipeline systems that move crude oil from production fields, other pipeline companies, and offshore platforms to MPC refineries, other refineries, and other pipeline systems. Marine - Maintains and operates a large private inland petroleum products barge fleet, which is used to ship crude oil, intermediates, and refined products.
Responsibilities:The purpose of the Logistics and Storage intern/co-op program is to identify and develop future technical and leadership talent for the benefit of MPC, the engineering intern/co-op, and the engineering profession.
The intern/co-op program may consist of any number of work sessions. Multiple sessions give interns/co-ops the ability to rotate between the different L&S components in order to gain exposure to the various business segments and to offer a variety of assignments with increasing responsibility. Intern/Co-ops will gain experience in the 5 phases of the Marathon Project Management Process (MPMP) including Conceptual, Feasibility, Definition, Implementation, and Start-up/Close-out.
