The ideal candidate has experience with AutoCAD Electrical, AVEVA E&I, AVEVA E3D, or similar E&I design / drafting software along with excellent communication skills. Responsibilities Develop detailed electrical and instrumentation drawings (e.g., wiring diagrams, loop diagrams, single-line diagrams, and schematic layouts) using CAD/CAE tools (e.g., AutoCAD, AVEVA, etc.) Create instrument installation details, cable routing layouts, and electrical panel layouts. Support 3D modeling and integration of I&E components in plant design software. Generate Bill of Materials (BOM) and instrument indexes. Prepare and update datasheets and specifications for field instruments, control devices, and electrical equipment (motors, panels, junction boxes). Design and route instrumentation and electrical cables with correct sizing, shielding, and segregation practices. Create cable schedules and interconnection diagrams. Understand and design for various instrument types: transmitters, analyzers, switches, control valves, etc. Incorporate control system interface requirements including I/O allocations, cabinet terminations, and signal types. Support design of low voltage power systems, lighting, grounding, and power distribution. Integrate motor control centers (MCCs) and variable frequency drives (VFDs) into overall system layouts. Strong understanding of fundamentals of electrical & instrumentation engineering disciplines, as they relate to intelligent P&ID creation Support field verification and walkdowns, ensuring alignment of design with as-built conditions. Participate in construction support, responding to RFIs and updating documentation after commissioning.
