Learn and produce basic Electrical designs using AutoCAD and/or Revit per applicable code under the supervision of a senior engineer
Learn and perform Electrical engineering calculations required to design plumbing systems, including sizing of source equipment and distribution systems under the supervision of a senior engineer
Read and learn international and local building codes to assist in producing code compliant design documents under the supervision of a senior engineer
Attend project meetings as need to ensure scope of work understanding
Conduct site Visits to survey and capture existing conditions and author report that illustrate and describe observations and findings
Communicate effectively with clients and internal team members in the design and specification development of Electrical building systems
Execute construction administration duties which include first level responses to RFI and Submittal review under supervision of senior engineering staff
Attend and participate in engineering industry training, events, and/or continuing education to stay current on latest engineering concepts and technologies
Education and Experience

We are looking for a Student to start in January 2025. This internship can continue through summer. Stryten Energy is located north of Atlanta in Alpharetta, GA. We are looking for an Electrical Engineer student to start now and work until May 2025. Summer 2025 is also open if you would like to stay for the summer. This is a 40-hour week, paid opportunity but housing is not provided so you must have both housing and transportation.
Responsibilities
* Design / troubleshoot analog, digital and power circuits.
* Design electrical system architectures
* Assemble / rework PCBs.
* Conduct tests of electronic prototypes.
* Design, assemble and maintain equipment, processes, and systems.
* Analysis of test results and data.
* Participate in the development of test procedures.
* Support the manufacturing, software, and mechanical teams
Qualifications
* Graduating between DEC 2025 and MAY 2026
* Position will start January 2025
* Working towards BS in Electrical Engineering
* With a GPA of 3.0 or greater
* You must have housing and transportation
* The position is required to work onsite daily
Preferred Experience:
* Experience in circuit design, schematic capture and PCB layout.
* Experience using electronic test equipment and instrumentation.
* Experience in troubleshooting electronics.
* Experience with high precision manual soldering.
* Experience with microcontrollers and firmware (embedded systems).
* Knowledge of power electronics, particularly for AC/DC power converters including digital power control of switching topologies from 3-100kW desirable.
* Working with software engineers to interface embedded power controllers with embedded Linux systems and IOT data modules
* Successful candidates will be capable of working independently while contributing to a fast-paced team development
