Position Description: Development of new TPMS hardware, software, and systems: Work with lead engineer to take responsibility for a subset of parts/requirements. Lead design reviews with internal and external teams including suppliers. Quality documentation development and reviews Ensure requirements such as FMVSS, ECE, and other regulatory or legal requirements are met including RF certification and homologation. Packaging of receiver module to optimize RF reception. Develop and execute design verification plan (DVP) for TPMS system on bench, HIL, and vehicle per program milestones requirements (DCV, PEC, FEC, etc). Track status in FEDE and JIRA for issues. Support programs through launch by leading issue resolution and presenting status to management. Collaborate with Chassis and Vehicle Operations teams to ensure interface and process/assembly requirements are met. Travel to supplier facilities and Ford assembly plants as needed to support design reviews and launches of new products, APQP and PPAP approval. Additional responsibilities may include the following: FEDE BOM, Netcom Message List, ARXML, Device Transmittal, VSCS, ED&T and Mountain Charts, ESOW Skills Required: Application Testing, Focus on Following: -Develop and execute design verification plan (DVP) for TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) on test bench, HIL (Hardware In the Loop), and vehicle per program milestones requirements (DCV, PEC, FEC, etc). Track status/issues in Ford data repository (FEDE) and JIRA. Product Design Focus on Following: -Quality documentation development and reviews - Ensure requirements such as FMVSS, ECE, and other regulatory or legal requirements are met including RF certification and homologation. -Additional responsibilities may include the following: FEDE BOM, Netcom Message List, Configurable Parameters verification/release. Skills Preferred: Electrical Engineering / Candidate should have minimum of 2 years of experience with design and testing of Automotive electrical systems - hardware, software, and systems. Experience Required: Candidate should have minimum of 2 years of experience with design and testing of Automotive electrical systems - hardware, software, and systems. Experience Preferred: Experience with vehicle network tools including CANalyzer. Experience with development/testing of wireless technology is a plus. Education Required: Bachelor's Degree Education Preferred: Additional Safety Training/Licensing/Personal Protection Requirements: Additional Information : ***In office: Monday-Thursday, Friday flexible depending on business needs***
