The Building Electrical Group is responsible for all building electrical systems including lighting, fire protection and low voltage for our design build, industrial projects. We design and build food and beverage production facilities. The Consolidated Operations Management and Test (COMET) contract provides overall management and implementation of ground systems capabilities, flight hardware processing and launch operations at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Engineers will directly support NASA's Artemis missions by providing technical development of safety-critical application software used for commanding and control of ground control systems. REQUIREMENTS Candidates must have IP experience including patent drafting and prosecution and a background in computer science, electrical engineering, or similar. Design engineering experience with a chip company is a plus. Preference for candidates with networking, software, 3G/4G/5G wireless network, or the like. Candidates must be admitted to the USPTO and have prior legal experience. Bar licensure in California is a plus. Skills and Abilities Understanding of mathematical and engineering principles and methods used to test systems and components such as circuit design as well as a sound knowledge of drive, automation and measurement technology. Experience with CAD design tools for schematic capture. Knowledge of manufacturing processes - Cabinet assembly and design for manufacturability (DFM). Knowledge of TestStand software. Knowledge of Industry Standards and Regulations such as UL, FCC, CE, and ISO. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
