Job Summary:
The RF Microelectronics/Module Design & Foundry Services Department at Raytheon in Andover, MA, is currently seeking a Senior Electro-Mechanical Engineer to develop leading-edge miniaturized 3DHI sensors and systems to enable future generation technologies across Raytheon.
The successful candidate will be a highly motivated "self-starter" who will apply strong mechanical and electricalengineering skills to implement innovative solutions to challenging design criteria. They will be involved in research efforts including initial concepts, advanced technology demonstrations, and will have the opportunity to follow product development from beginning to end, including documentation, fabrication, assembly, and test/delivery of a range of microelectronics products. This position requires strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to maintain positive relationships & satisfaction with Program leadership (Engineering and Program Management). Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes and materials and prior experience working with contract manufacturers (OSATs) is highly desired.
The role requires knowledge of high-density microelectronic packaging designs including Interposers, organic substrates, wafer and chip bumping and general knowledge in areas of electronic components/devices such as ASICs and FPGAs, design of electronic packaging chassis and structures, interconnects (connectors/cables), and thermal management design of high-density electronic systems and electronic enclosures. The successful candidate will have the ability to bring new and fresh ideas to the team, with opportunities to explore research and innovation areas in a collaborative and fun team environment. Additionally, the candidate is expected to follow established procedures in creation of technical data package work products, while working closely with program management and functional supervision to ensure the overall design objectives are met.

Work with cross-functional hardware engineering teams to develop advanced microelectronics packages including 3DHI, 3D, and 2.5D (interposer + chiplets) and novel material and process solutions for RF, digital, mixed-signal, and photonics products
Leverage industry-leading manufacturing and novel materials to achieve new levels of electro-mechanical performance and reliability
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM) Field and a minimum of Five (5) or more years of relevant experience (An advanced STEM degree could count for 3 years of experience) with mechanical and electricalengineering design.
Experience performing circuit layout design using 2D CAD tools

Equipment Maintenance & Diagnostics
* Conduct field inspections, troubleshoot performance issues, and coordinate repairs with shop and field mechanics.
* Analyze equipment telematics data to identify trends, prevent downtime, and improve fleet reliability.
* Support preventive maintenance programs and ensure adherence to manufacturer and company standards.
Safety & Compliance
* Ensure all equipment meets Reeves and Colas safety, quality, and environmental standards.
* Promote and reinforce a strong safety culture through regular field engagement and operator training.
* Participate in equipment audits and risk assessments.
Data & Reporting
* Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, inspections, and performance metrics.
* Provide data-driven recommendations for repairs, replacements, and equipment upgrades.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the Equipment Department.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Construction Engineering - or equivalent technical experience.
* 2-5 years of experience in construction equipment, fleet management, or field engineering.
* Strong understanding of heavy equipment systems (hydraulic, mechanical, electrical).
* Familiarity with equipment telematics, diagnostics, and maintenance management software.
* Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to travel regularly to project sites.
Preferred Skills
* Experience with major construction equipment (Caterpillar, Komatsu, Volvo, John Deere, etc.).
* Background in roadway, asphalt, or heavy civil construction.
* Working knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and environmental compliance standards.
* Strong computer proficiency (MS Office, equipment management systems).

As a Project Engineer, you'll be the operational hub for complex mechanical (HVAC/Plumbing) projects-partnering with Project Managers and field teams to keep scope, schedule, cost, quality, and safety on track. You'll touch everything from documentation and scheduling to BIM/CADD coordination, vendor management, and client communication.
**What You'll Do**
+ **Project controls & docs:** Own RFIs, submittals, change orders (COR/CO), meeting minutes, and logs.
+ **Scheduling:** Update master schedules (labor, equipment, fabrication, rentals); flag risks and pull-forward options.
+ **Cost management:** Support job cost control, vendor pricing, POs, and progress billings.
+ **Field coordination:** Assist QA/QC, pre-task/hazard analyses, site walks, and toolbox talks; drive punchlist closure.
+ **BIM/CADD:** Coordinate model updates and field integration with VDC/CADD partners.
+ **Procurement:** Source materials, track deliveries, resolve shortages; maintain vendor relationships.
+ **Client/GC/Subs:** Prep for and participate in project meetings; support subcontractor selection and oversight.
+ **Closeout:** Assemble O&M manuals, as-builts, and final turnover documents.
**What You'll Bring**
+ **Background:** Construction Management or Mechanical Engineering degree **and** 3-5 years in commercial construction **or** 10+ years relevant mechanical construction experience in lieu of degree.
+ **Industry exposure:** HVAC/Plumbing mechanical contractor experience on mid-to-large commercial projects (preferred).
+ **Tools:** Bluebeam, MS Project, Excel/Word; familiarity with BIM/CADD workflows (Revit/Navis/AutoCAD a plus).
+ **Strengths:** Organized, detail-driven, great follow-through; clear written/verbal communication; collaborative with GC/owner and trade partners.
+ **Work setup:** Onsite/in-office; sponsorship not available; remote option not available.

+ Experience with submittal workflows, procurement, and vendor negotiations.
