Key Responsibilities & Duties:
Design electrical schematics and grid plan layouts
Create electrical power systems and lighting systems
Develop protection and controls, and site and facility designs
Follow company, client, and project design standards
Plan and develop drawings for production work
Execute changes to designs and mark-ups on ongoing projects
Analyze reports, drawings, and tests for project planning
Review design drawings for quality assurance
Organize and maintain project drawings and files
Communicate clearly with project team members
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in drafting technology or related field with 7+ years experience
Associate Degree with 8+ years experience or High School with 9+ years experience
Advanced skills in AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Excel
Ability to utilize 2D and 3D applications for engineering drawings
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

The Electrical Engineer III plays a key role in the successful execution of projects from start to finish. Design for medium voltage and 480-volt power systems, including generation and distribution.
Design (drawings, specifications and calculations) of special systems including ground fault, lightning protection, engine-generator, UPS, DC, motor control centers and power factor correction.
Prepares engineering documents and equipment specifications to meet codes, standards and contracted scope of work, ensuring application of Electrical Engineering Principles. Standard deliverables include single-line diagrams, plans, schedules, schematics, and details.
Preparation of three lines and schematic drawings.
Build up knowledge of Codes (e.g. NEC, NFPA, IBC, Life Safety Code, etc.).
Perform voltage drop and short-circuit calculations. Perform arc fault analysis.

Reviews and approves contractor submittals, conducts construction observations and provides field support during startup and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment.

ESAC is seeking an energetic Building Automation System (BAS) engineering candidates - from seasoned experience control engineers to entry level individuals with an HVAC interest/background and desire to start a new direction from field work. The successful candidate would join our growing automation design team, supporting projects in the commercial and industrial markets.
The controls engineer fills a critical role in the company, designing the systems architecture, setting the installation plan and pace at the beginning of a project. Candidate would possess or develop skill designing automatic temperature control and energy management systems, which includes producing control schematics, wiring diagrams, sequences of operation, programming and bill of material lists based upon customer needs and/or project plans and specifications. Training, if applicable, would consist of 6-12 months of application engineering, assisting field technicians on live systems and troubleshooting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Attend project turnover meetings with the sales and project team.
Design building automation systems and create project submittals/shop drawings using construction plans and specifications.
Identify any gaps or ambiguity in the project and submit RFIs as required.
Establish & maintain unique customer standards in design/build and plan/spec markets
