Job Description The Senior Electrical Engineer will work with Oglethorpe Power's project management team to oversee the engineering, procurement, and construction of a new 1,500 MW combined cycle facility in Forsyth, Georgia. This will include reviewing design drawings, equipment, and system specifications, as well as work packages, installation plans, and delivery schedules for electrical equipment. As the project progresses, focus will shift to the review of inspection and testing of individual pieces of equipment and systems, culminating in plant start-up and commissioning. This position will require coordination and communication with the turbine/generator OEM, Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) contractors, Owner's Engineer, and OPC management. Input to weekly/monthly metrics and reporting will be required to support tracking of the project's budget and schedule. Following commissioning of the new plant, the Senior Electrical Engineer will transition to the role of plant electrical engineer and have responsibility for a wide variety of duties.
