What you do

Key Responsibilities:
Perform installation of electronic systems, components, and supporting infrastructure for PNT-related equipment.

Making and repairing connectors

* Knowing and understanding the use of all tools of their trade such as multi-meters, pin crimper's, soldering and expected to accomplish the more complex tasks associated with electrical installation of cable, military circular connectors, panel box and power terminations, etc.
* Familiar with basic computer skills
* Familiar with MS-Office programs including Word and Excel.
Qualifications
* Must be a Marine Electrician with a minimum of 3-5 years relevant experience working in ship repair onboard US Navy ships (technical education may be substituted for a portion of the experience requirement)
* Must have experience and multi-pin copper connector certification of cables per Navy Standard Item 009-73 (MIL-STD-2003-5)
* Must be familiar with NAVY Standard Items
* Ability to read, understand and follow customer work item requirements, drawings, and wiring diagrams.
* Individual must have a keen attention to detail and be quality metric driven
* Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret security clearance (current active Secret clearance is a plus).
* Successful completion of Navy "A" School ("C" School is a plus) or successful completion of a Shipyard or commercial Electrical apprenticeship program (recognized shipyard apprentice graduates are a plus).
* Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools for the trade (ex: wire strippers, voltmeter, megohmeter)
* Demonstrate ability to build MIL-SPEC connectors of various types and sizes using both soldering and crimping techniques
* Ability to read and understand electrical and installation drawings
* Good critical thinking and problem-solving ability
* Ability to lift 50 pounds on your own
* Willingness to travel to various locations in support of ship maintenance availabilities
* Flexibility with regards to scheduling and planned support due to constant Navy movement

Summary:
Our Fire Protection Project Engineers work with and support ACI's field operations on industrial projects. The Fire Protection Project Engineer will report directly to the Director of Fire Protection - New Construction Division, with the primary responsibility of ensuring our field forces have the materials, equipment and information necessary to effectively complete the scope of work. As an extension of the ACI Project Manager (PM), the Project Engineer is ultimately responsible for understanding and accomplishing the customer's goals while protecting and promoting the interests of ACI and its subcontractors/suppliers in all project-related matters.
Essential Functions:
* The Fire Protection Project Engineer assists project management in the submission and review of permits, proposals, contracts, schedules and change orders
* Reviews specifications and drawings in preparation of subcontractor scopes of work and project tracking
* Understands contract documents and help identify scope gaps
* Prepares and distributes project RFI's and submittals and maintain subsequent logs
* Reviews vendor/supplier's submittals for conformance to contract documents and timely track the submittal process
* Manages project-specific materials and equipment purchases including: sourcing, maintaining vendor relations, ordering and tracking deliveries and receiving and processing invoices
* Assists project manager and procurement with the buyout process
* Creates and maintains internal project schedules and project tracking reports
* Supports field in expediting schedule, completion of field paperwork and expediting materials
* Assist project superintendent with enforcement of site safety and notifies management of any issues that arise which affects safety, quality, budget and progress of work
* Supports operations and Fire Protection Project Manager with client communications regarding project schedules and milestones
* Assists and supports the Project Manager by attending/scheduling project meetings with ACI's project team, clients, subcontractors, vendors and suppliers
* Prepares and distributes subcontractor and client's meeting minutes
* Coordinates and attends punch list walk-thru as needed; compile the punch list and forward to PM and Superintendent

* Establishes good working relationship and foster positive communications with other team members, management, vendors/suppliers and clients
