Job Description Summary: The Electrical Engineer is responsible for the operations and maintenance support of electrical power distribution systems, including high voltage substations, transformers, switchgear, motors, motor control centers, lighting, grounding, electrical wiring, and hazardous area classification.

* As Operations Representative, participate in the acceptance and operations phases of new Projects.
* Implement Smart Innovative Operations (SIO) Predict initiatives for electrical equipment at Airgas.
* Provides technical oversight and review of project engineering work performed by external resources in support of the development and implementation of small electrical projects.
* Actively participate in Root Cause Analyses (RCA)
* Take the lead in training, coaching, and mentoring field technicians and operations staff in the preventative maintenance and operation of electrical distribution and control systems.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor of science in engineering degree from an ABET accredited educational institution and eight (8) or more years of experience in the area of assigned engineering responsibility. Appropriate co-op time and/or an advanced degree in engineering, business or other relevant courses of study may substitute for up to one year of experience.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATES
Valid State of Florida Professional Engineer license may be required.
Must meet the FBPE requirements as defined in Chapter 471 of the Florida Statute and obtain and maintain “Professional Engineer” Licensing as required by Water/Wastewater Engineering, Public Works, Energy Delivery and Principal Engineers assigned to the water/wastewater, and special projects areas of Strategic Planning.
Valid Florida Driver License required.

Responsibilities:
Assists the Project Manager in all aspects of document control, cost control, quality, scheduling and safety.
Responsible for creating and maintaining the project documentation filing system.
Responsible for requesting, reviewing, submitting, tracking, and expediting project material submittals and shop drawings for review and approval.
Ensure approved submittals are distributed to appropriate parties in a timely manner and maintained in project management file.
Prepare and maintain accurate and up-to-date utility line locates.
