Qualifications
BASIC REQUIREMENT OR INDIVIDUAL OCCUPATIONAL REQUIREMENT:
A. Degree: Engineering. To be acceptable, the program must: (1) lead to a bachelor's degree in a school of engineering with at least one program accredited by ABET; or (2) include differential and integral calculus and courses (more advanced than first-year physics and chemistry) in five of the following seven areas of engineering science or physics: (a) statics, dynamics; (b) strength of materials (stress-strain relationships); (c) fluid mechanics, hydraulics; (d) thermodynamics; (e) electrical fields and circuits; (f) nature and properties of materials (relating particle and aggregate structure to properties); and (g) any other comparable area of fundamental engineering science or physics, such as optics, heat transfer, soil mechanics, or electronics.

B. Combination of education and experience -- college-level education, training, and/or technical experience that furnished (1) a thorough knowledge of the physical and mathematical sciences underlying engineering, and (2) a good understanding, both theoretical and practical, of the engineering sciences and techniques and their applications to one of the branches of engineering.

We are seeking a talented and motivated Project Engineer to join our team in various regions across our Gulf region. This hybrid role offers the flexibility of working both remotely and on-site.
As a Project Engineer, you'll be diving into quality control (QC) for multiple utilities, handling QC design for both pre- and post-construction phases. You'll apply your technical expertise to ensure our projects meet all specifications, fully understanding the design requirements in your area. Leading small to medium or multi-discipline projects, you'll guide Design Engineers and prepare detailed technical analyses. You'll share insights with the team and engage with stakeholders to grasp the nuances of each task.
In this role, you'll communicate any challenges related to scope, cost, schedule, and quality. You'll also interact independently with clients, estimate proposals, and understand the role of business development in our operations. Assisting the Design Coordinator, you'll evaluate design personnel and assign tasks to Designers and Drafters. You'll review vendor drawings, perform independent engineering reviews of simpler projects, and provide feedback. Additionally, you'll offer input on potential process and design improvements. Ensuring adherence to the quality control process, including documentation using the Quality Review Tracking tool, is crucial. You'll self-check your work before submission, complete tasks with minimal errors, and participate in peer and QC reviews.
In this role, you are enabled to be at the forefront of integrating artificial intelligence (AI) and utilizing tools such as, Microsoft Copilot, bespoke AI workflow tools, and an IT team dedicated to continuous improvement and innovation to enhance our operations and drive efficiency. A. Degree: Engineering. To be acceptable, the program must: (1) lead to a bachelor's degree in a school of engineering with at least one program accredited by ABET; or (2) include differential and integral calculus and courses (more advanced than first-year physics and chemistry) in five of the following seven areas of engineering science or physics: (a) statics, dynamics; (b) strength of materials (stress-strain relationships); (c) fluid mechanics, hydraulics; (d) thermodynamics; (e) electrical fields and circuits; (f) nature and properties of materials (relating particle and aggregate structure to properties); and (g) any other comparable area of fundamental engineering science or physics, such as optics, heat transfer, soil mechanics, or electronics.

Combination of education and experience -- college-level education, training, and/or technical experience that furnished (1) a thorough knowledge of the physical and mathematical sciences underlying engineering, and (2) a good understanding, both theoretical and practical, of the engineering sciences and techniques and their applications to one of the branches of engineering.

GS-15: At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 level in the Federal service, which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skill, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Examples of this experience includes supporting the planning, execution, and instrumentation of electronicsengineering tests; providing engineering support for tests, assessments, experiments and system evaluations; coordinating and directing the activities of engineers in the operation and maintenance of advanced hardware and facilities assessing the vulnerability of systems and subsystems; and developing analytical methods, tools, standards, and models and simulations used in electronicsengineering and test planning.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs):
* Knowledge of electronicsengineering concepts, principles, methods, techniques, and standard engineering practices to perform moderately difficult or relatively limited phases of a larger and more complex installation, operations, and maintenance engineering project.
* Knowledge of computer aided design and drafting (CADD) programs to perform design and drafting assignments, as well as other computer applications used in support of plans, analysis, and project reports.
* Skill in applying the principles, concepts, and practices of the occupation sufficient to perform limited assignments in the field of electronicsengineering.
* Ability to communicate factual and procedural information clearly, orally and in writing.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
