Coordinate with all internal and external disciplines for required electrical power connections. Coordinate monitoring system interfaces for electrical equipment with controls and telecommunications engineers. Be familiar with the basics of electrical power monitoring systems (EPMS). Be capable of reviewing and understanding client standards, design criteria, applicable standards, and best practices in order to apply them to a design project. Understand local and national construction codes and project specifications. Utilize Autodesk Revit on a daily basis to produce detailed design documents. Have experience with the use of Microsoft tools such as Word, Power Point, Excel, and Teams. Meet project deadlines, including working necessary hours to complete major deliverables. Have the ability to travel when required to project sites (approximately 10-20% travel). Have the ability to clearly communicate with others in both written and spoken forms. Minimum 4 years of experience in facility electrical design, particularly using Autodesk Revit for drawing development. Experience in electrical design for larger industrial and commercial buildings is preferred, with experience in mission critical design a plus. Experience performing and reviewing power studies such as Neher-McGrath, short circuit, coordination, and arc flash is a plus. Familiarity with these studies is preferred. Experience working across the entire construction process, from schematic design through construction administration, including review of submittals and shop drawings, and field work such as existing condition surveys, site observations, and punch lists. Experience leading small electrical design teams and having some client interface experience is preferred. Experience using construction management tools such as Procore and Autodesk Construction Cloud. Basic understanding of power monitoring systems for electrical systems is a plus.
