Your role at Clorox:
As part of the Clorox Electrical Instrumentation and Controls Engineering Team, you'll take on impactful projects that drive both personal and professional growth. Our team, within the Global Technical Services (GTS) organization, is focused on delivering manufacturing breakthroughs, product innovations, cost savings, and supply assurance with excellence.
We design, construct, and launch complex automation and technology projects, working closely with packaging, process, and project management teams. Our goal is to deliver reliable, safe equipment that optimizes manufacturing and supports Clorox's growth.
In this role, you will:
Autonomously lead electrical engineering efforts through all phases of capital projects - conceptual, feasibility, scope definition, cost estimates, functional requirements, system design, scheduling, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, startup, and validation.
Demonstrates proficiency in developing and managing estimates, financial analysis, contracts, and purchase orders. Includes the use of Clorox Early Management principles and activities to deliver customer expectations with vertical and sustainable project execution.
Support system start-up and operational checkout on systems including configuration, wiring, calibration, and power testing. Provide hardware and software application support assistance to engineers and operations.
Provides significant contributions and technical leadership for major technology efforts in the organization, either as an individual or team member.
Utilize technical materials such as equipment manuals, system drawings, P&IDs, schematics and blue prints to troubleshoot and repair complex electrical/control systems. Interpret industry, regulatory, and company specifications and standards and apply to projects.
Implement capital building & equipment installations and to improve manufacturing competitive performance.
Works in a participative team-based environment, using manufacturing best practice processes and principles, plans and leads the design and implementation of multiple medium to large sized projects, programs, and manufacturing improvement projects that include the integration of outside technical resources.
Development of manufacturing equipment, processes, and procedures essential to line extensions, product improvements, and new product development.
Manage project scope, schedule, and finances to meet predetermined Clorox business objectives.
Provide technical analysis, project cost and schedule estimation, engineering effort forecasting, design recommendations, preparation of design and equipment specifications, design, review of design documents, development of construction sub-contract documents, and lead construction, commissioning, and start-up activities at plant facilities.
Deliver project safety performance objectives.
What we look for:

Job Purpose
RF/Radar Systems Engineers work with a team to perform advanced system and algorithm development using established systems engineering approaches. Based on detailed trade studies and requirements analyses, radar systems engineers develop solutions to satisfy system requirements and perform functions related to all aspects of radar system design. These functions include the development of the complete architectural design of radar systems, investigation and development of new algorithms to advance key sensor capabilities by leveraging signal processing techniques and novel waveform development, development of detailed simulations of algorithms and systems for design verification or to facilitate operational software development, the design of sensor modes that maximize sensor performance, the collection and analysis of data from laboratory or flight tests, and formal verification that the final design solution meet all system requirements.

As a Senior Power Electronics hardware engineer, you will work in the Power Electronics (PWX) Hardware development group. This role is responsible for owning the power electronics hardware design and development of power converters from the scratch to production floor. Also responsible for validation of the design & creating the engineering specifications, Creating engineering documents, topology selection, design reviews, schematics design, component selection, Creating layout in Altium, release documentation for production and reliability study and assessment while supporting the product manufacturing and product testing.
This position is a “In person” position based out of the Innovation Hub located in Stone Mountain, Georgia. This role needs to be agile, professional, and comfortable in a rapidly changing environment. The right person is trustworthy who works hard even when no one is noticing.
Key Responsibilities:
Design of single phase and 3 phase bidirectional inverters with aim to gain maximum efficiency and cost competitive design.
Understand the marketing specification and derive/chose proper topology to meet the cost, efficiency and performance targets.
High voltage power semiconductor selection, switching behaviour and what to expect before the test knowledge, able to calculate all the losses in the converter /inverter system, perform reliability, cost analysis with Si/SiC/GaN MOSFET's, Diodes systems, deep knowledge on gate drive and protection circuit design.
Derive individual converter Spec from Master spec and estimate power budget of individual converter.
Good understanding of UL1741, IEC62019 and IEC 60730 and applying it on design.
Understand the product certification process and know how on design level to make the compliance testing smoother (UL, CSA, FCC, etc.)
Design with isolated and non-isolated topologies- major focus on non-isolated designs.
Design with active and passive cooling systems.
Ownership of power layout and techniques for reduction of noise, EMI EMC reduction and other parasitic and taking product to EMI EMC laboratories and Inhouse pre compliance testing.
In Depth understanding of magnetics and ability to design and build magnetics for prototype evaluation.
Testing and troubleshooting to solve complex problems under pressure and provide feasible solutions in the short and long term.
Good communication skills and documentation skills.
Self-driving must be able to work as a team in small interdisciplinary groups and independently.

Specific Skills / Abilities:
Strong understanding of power electronics system including Inverters, Converters, 4-wire ,3-Wire AC systems, Single phase , Two phase and Three phase systems, unbalanced operation, grounding schemes, Leakage current etc.
Strong knowledge of safety procedures working with hazardous current and voltage levels
Ability to understand complex schematics and board layouts (Altium)
Strong understanding of signal integrity, noise issues, signal processing for power electronics environments.
Direct experience and involvement in designs using IGBT/MOSFET/GAN or other switching devices and Gate driver design, selection, characterization.
Should be able to lift minimum of 50Lbs weight and should be able to stand for over 6 hours on job.
Working with Contract manufacturers for final production support.
Good understanding of digital control for power electronics, DSP and microcontrollers.
Familiar with PV, Energy Storage Systems, DC fast charging equipment, and generators, Grid simulators operation.

Education / Experience
Must have designed hard switching bidirectional AC/DC, DC/DC & DC/AC (Single, 3 Phase) topologies.
Five or more years of first-hand experience on medium to high power converter (up to 15KW) design and development
Electrical/Electronics/Power Engineering degree or higher specialization degrees with power electronics major.
Experience with high voltage up to 1000V or more and high-power levels >2KW.
Strong knowledge of power electronics systems working principles, including AC/DC, DC/AC, DC/DC, AC/AC conversion and grid-connected converters.
Experience conducting test on multi-converter module systems, verifying individual converter module functionality as well as system-level/converter stack operation.
Strong hands-on testing and troubleshooting experience.
Must have a strong sense of development ownership, responsibility and working commitment.
