Responsibilities:
* Create electrical construction drawings.

* Review P&IDs.
* Incorporate laser scan data and survey data into 3D models to identify interferences between new and existing structures.

Position Summary:
As a Substation Protection and Control Lead Technician in the electric utility industry, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, testing, and repair of substation equipment that protects and controls the flow of electricity in the power grid. The Substation P&C Lead Technician will be managing and leading a Substation P&C crew as well as identifying and meeting schedule demands. The Substation P&C Lead Tech will have knowledge of such devices and equipment which includes but is not limited to digital relays, electromechanical relays, intelligent electronic devices, Station Disturbance Recorders (SDR), digital fault recorders (DFR), oscillographs and event recorders, RTU's and station SCADA systems, statistical load metering, telemetering and transducers. Additionally, understand the installation, maintenance and operation of all power line carriers (PLC), tone, pilot wire, fiber and associated P&C communications equipment.
Responsibilities:
Competent Safety person who possesses a minimum of OSHA 30 Certification
Demonstrates a solid understanding of zones of protection
Identifies reduced and inadequate protection schemes
Possess Client specific P&C knowledge or an ability to learn quickly
Responsible for providing documentation of as-left/as-built field marked prints and all test results in the required timeframes
Demonstrates a solid understanding of CT circuits, testing and analysis of results
Reads and understand P&C drawings (incl. schematics, wiring/logic diagrams, cable schedules)
Possess advanced troubleshooting skills
Proficient in testing and commissioning microprocessor relays including developing and running test plans, perform end-to-end testing, and the ability to interpret and understand results.
Proficient testing of Power Line Carrier schemes including wave trap and line tuner testing
Proficient with SCADA checkout including applying RTU configurations and point verification
Proficient in understanding and application of Human Performance tools
Proficient in developing isolation/cut-over plans
Fully understands Lock-Out/Tag-Out policies or procedures and adherence to the more stringent requirements
Provides direction to physical employees, wiring personal, equipment specialist, etc. to complete P&C tasks
Fully understands clearance points and clearance zones as established by an operating authority
Has excellent written and verbal communications skills

Associate's degree in electrical engineering or a related field (preferred).
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a protection and control technician.
OSHA 30 Construction Safety Certification

We are currently searching for an experienced Traffic Project Engineer to support our Southwest Region located in Texas.
The successful candidate will work on challenging transportation design projects providing technical expertise and ensuring compliance with locality and state DOT standards. The candidate will serve as Task Manager and collaborate with multidisciplinary team and provide guidance and direction to project team for various traffic design tasks on roadway, bridge and interchange improvements, intersection modifications and pedestrian/bike facilities projects. This position offers an excellent career opportunity with tremendous growth potential.
What you'll be doing:
Prepare traffic signal design plans for new intersections and signal modifications to facilitate multimodal accommodations
Prepare temporary traffic control plan/traffic management plan (TMP) and signing, pavement marking plans
Prepare streetlight design plan and perform photometric analysis using Agi32
Prepare technical reports for IJR/IMR, and traffic/safety/road diet studies
Prepare Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) design plans
Prepare quantities and develop PS&E packages supporting highway design projects
Assist in preparing conceptual intersection layouts, schematics, signal timings and engineering reports
Supervise and mentor junior engineers
Attend project meetings with clients
What you need to have:
BS in Civil Engineering
5-10 years of traffic engineering experience
EIT is required, PE is preferred
Proficiency in MicroStation and/or AutoCAD (OpenRoads preferred)
Familiarity with TxDOT and/or general DOT traffic design standards, MUTCD and AASHTO
Proficiency in traffic analyses software such as VISSIM, Synchro/Simtraffic, Sidra Intersection, HCS
Local state DOT experience is preferred
Self-starter and capable of completing tasks with minimal oversight
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written
