The Electrical Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily activities of the Electrical department, ensuring that company assets are
maintained to a high standard and all activities are accurately recorded. This role involves serving as a liaison between plant leadership
and operations, fostering effective communication and collaboration with manufacturing business partners. Additionally, the Electrical
Supervisor ensures compliance with safety regulations, optimizes departmental workflows, and supports continuous improvement

Key Responsibilities
· Demonstrated ability to understand and interpret financial reports relative to their area of oversight.
· Establish metrics and set goals for the team using World Class Maintenance standards. Work closely with Planner, Storeroom
and Electrical team to create an environment of proactive maintenance.
· Collaborate with other departments in Manufacturing Support to create seamless completion of projects and repairs.
· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of OSHA-mandated programs and ensure the team's compliance with necessary training.
· Grasp the principles and significance of predictive and preventative maintenance and apply them effectively.
· Consistently advocate and advance safety objectives, goals, and policies.
· Create an environment of Continuous Improvement, including participating in Mini War Rooms, developing Point Kaizens, and
driving 6S initiatives.
· Manage and support environmental initiatives around hazardous waste.
· Participate in energy management programs.
· Promote retention and recognition programs.
· Actively communicate with the team and keep them informed on department initiatives.
· Provide guidance and direction to employees and leaders within the department.
· Create an environment of engagement, actively engaging with employees in Maintenance and Manufacturing.

Education

What You Will Be Doing
You will oversee the delivery of electrical utilities, ensuring that all buildings and process equipment meet their utility demands. Your responsibilities will encompass supply strategy, dimensioning, and backup considerations. Projects must be completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. As the selected Electrical Controls and Automation Engineer candidate, you will perform a variety of engineering work in design, planning & overseeing manufacture, construction, installation, operation, and maintenance of electrical or electronic components, equipment, systems, facilities & machinery used in the manufacturing process.
Responsibilities will include:
Troubleshooting issues with control systems
Coordinates with others to determine problems and implement solutions
Developing and installing machine programs using automation PLC software
Drawing electrical schematics (CAD) to demonstrate how processes will work
Generate aesthetic HMI screens for machinery that provide enough feedback for troubleshooting
Formulates & recommends engineering policies & technical work in accordance with project objectives.
Ensures that sound technical engineering concepts are applied.
Plans & coordinates engineering projects that are completed on schedule within cost objectives.
Advises appropriate personnel of the latest technical & engineering developments.
Cooperates with the Production, Research, and Quality Control departments in preparing production & process designs, and in establishing uniform specifications for materials & equipment.
Provides engineering services to other departments as required.
Provides ongoing technical support to the plants as requested. Investigates production problems.
Research technologies new to Precoat Metals to improve process control, lower costs, & increase throughput. Implements non-capital improvements to improve process control & lower costs.
Prepare & coordinate short and long-term engineering plans and programs for design, construction, or alteration of activities.
Travel to job site to coordinate start-up, performance & testing.
Qualifications
Qualifications
The candidate selected for this role will have the following:
BS Degree in Electrical Engineering or Extensive Controls background.
Minimum of three years direct experience.
Product & operations knowledge
Excellent computer hardware & software applications knowledge
Data driven decision making; Effective use of process automation tools and IT
Thorough & organized
Confident & steady under pressure
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Available for 25-45% Travel Typical or as Required for Major Projects
