Timmons Group is currently seeking a Civil Project Engineer II/III candidate to join our Land Development Group located in our Wilmington, NC office location. We assist our clients with zoning entitlements, civil site plan approvals, and construction administration support. Our project engineers will typically work in a team of 2-3 design engineers and a project manager to bring our client's vision to life. Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a successful candidate include but are not limited to: * Designing site layouts, grading, utilities, and stormwater systems using Civil 3D and other modeling tools. * Performing engineering calculations and solving real-world design challenges. * Preparing technical specifications and construction documents. * Conducting research and writing objective reports to support project completion. * Assisting with cost estimates and construction planning. * Supporting field inspections and data collection. * Collaborating with clients, internal teams, and senior engineers to deliver high-quality results. Skills/Requirements of a successful candidate include but are not limited to: * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. * 2+ years of experience in land development engineering, including residential, commercial, or mixed-use projects. * EIT certification preferred. * Proficiency in Civil 3D and/or other CAD software. * Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

REQUIREMENTS Candidates must have IP experience including patent drafting and prosecution and a background in computer science, electrical engineering, or similar. Design engineering experience with a chip company is a plus. Preference for candidates with networking, software, 3G/4G/5G wireless network, or the like. Candidates must be admitted to the USPTO and have prior legal experience. Bar licensure in California is a plus.
