Job Summary
Langan is seeking a Senior Site/Civil Project Manager to join its collaborative team in Columbus, OH. This individual will serve a key function in leading and supporting design, permitting and client management/development efforts for a variety of land development projects. In this role, you will have the opportunity to partner cross-functionally with top industry leadership on a diverse array of premier land development projects.
Job Responsibilities
* Design and permit residential, institutional, commercial centers, warehouse distribution centers, and mixed-use projects for both public and private clients;
* Work closely with office leadership to develop growth plans and ensure staff utilization;
* Possess an entrepreneurial demeanor and participate in Business Development activities by developing new clients for the firm and maintaining relationships with existing clients;
* Lead site/civil efforts on a variety of project sites including the ability to design and oversee site layout, grading, drainage, infrastructure, erosion and sediment control, etc. from concept through completion;
* Lead storm water management design, hydrologic/hydraulic analysis and design and SWPPP preparation;
* Demonstrate experience in all aspects of land development engineering including the integration of geotechnical and environmental engineering; and

Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering;
* 10+ years of successful, local and related site/civil engineering experience with a concentration in land development on both small and large projects;
* Professional Engineering license;
* Site/civil experience on a variety of project sites including the ability to design and oversee site layout, grading, drainage, infrastructure, erosion and sediment control, etc. from concept through completion;
* Strong client development and client management abilities;
* Proficiency of AutoCAD or Civil 3D preferred;
* Active participation in professional organizations;
* Experience in technical and proposal writing;
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
* Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities;
* Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment; and

As a Design Field Technician, a typical day may include the following:
Complete design task for associated electric utility design projects. Tasks include but are not limited to drafting, engineering calculations, easement validation; design/construction cost estimating & permit package development.
Managing multiple projects in order to assure timely, successful completion for projects resulting in high levels of customer satisfaction and company/departmental goal achievements.
Travel to utility and customer locations to perform site visits, pole inspections, or audits while assessing equipment performance, identify potential issues and make recommendations for improvement
Maintain accurate records of activities, to include service calls, repairs, and maintenance performed
Perform routine assessment tasks on equipment to ensure proper functionality and prevent issues, to include diagnose and troubleshoot problems, repair or replace defective parts

* Support the design, specification, installation, startup and validation of building electrical distribution equipment from medium voltage services to equipment MCC. Partner with Engineering lead of process control systems, electrical systems and instrumentation for capital and upgrade projects. Ensure site specifications, standards and cGMP compliance to expectations are met and that good engineering practices are followed. Coordinate with other engineers, project managers, and suppliers to ensure a complete and timely design and implementation.
* Identify continuous improvement activities related to building electrical infrastructure, automation control systems throughout the site and champion solutions aligned with site and department metrics, Business Objectives and Strategy. Identify areas of opportunity to improve equipment and component reliability.
* Review electrical equipment thermography study, interpret data & determine if action needs to be taken based on findings from study.
* Update single line drawings, panel schedules, & control diagrams.
* Review time current curves, determine best circuit breakers/ fuses for implementing based on equipment being used to reduce arc-flash, ensure transformers are protected correctly and reduce false motor overload trips
