They will be involved in mission critical projects, taking the project from pre-construction through final acceptance to successful completion. Directly responsible for the project safety and quality, project budget, schedule and job controls, vendor management, submittals and procedures. Duties and Responsibilities: * Manage project engineering and related personnel functions and activities. Includes planning procurement, design review, project controls, work assignments, etc. * Ensure project engineering activities comply with company and contract requirements and support overall construction schedule * Prepare documents to obtain quotes from vendors to provide material, equipment, and other specialty items. * Track material deliveries. * Interface with departments, divisions, and internal staff on issues related to budgeting, staffing, discipline of employees, training/development, scheduling and other activities involving discretion and judgment. * Review engineering plans and vendor submittals. * Monitor crew assignments to ensure productivity goals are met. * Conduct field walks and spot checks of work being performed. * Ensure compliance with county, state and OSHA policies and regulations. Role accountabilities: This role will serve as Arcadis' main point of contact for clients' electrical needs and support projects and clients in the planning, design, and construction of water/wastewater facilities and similar industrial projects. Other duties include: * Perform electrical design and coordination tasks with focus on power distribution, lighting systems, communication systems, fire alarm systems and control systems * Utilize CAD software (Autodesk and Bentley products) for electrical system design and documentation * Establish design criteria and perform design calculations * Develop electrical design documents including one-line diagrams, control schematics, electrical plans and specifications * Provide engineering services during construction, review equipment submittals and shop drawings and respond to contractor RFIs (Requests for Information) * Conduct field inspections to identify deviations from design and ensure safety compliance during construction * Perform electrical system analysis using tools such as ETAP, SKM Power Tools and other power systems analysis software * Travel as required to meet project needs Required Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, a related discipline or equivalent work experience. * Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. * EIT or Professional Engineer (PE).
