The Role:
General Description
The Maintenance & Electrical Engineer reports to the Sr. Maintenance Manager as a shared resource in the Maintenance, Logistics, and Production areas. You will help to develop plans, programs and procedures related to improving plant equipment reliability to meet the plant goals in such a manner as to promote the most effective use of maintenance personnel and equipment.
How You Will Make an Impact:
Key Responsibilities
Plant Maintenance Support

Provide technical repair expertise and troubleshooting focal point for plant equipment including: 12.47kV & 480v power distribution, PLCs, and instrumentation.
Develop and direct repair plans for major equipment failures and plant outages.
Site administration of the CMMS which includes providing training on the system and managing the database.
Provide support to Reliability Engineering for PM processes and compliance.

Plant and Equipment Reliability:

Improve overall plant reliability by improved maintenance work processes and procedures
Work with Reliability Engineer to Implement trigger criteria for, and drive, a failure analysis and Root Cause Analysis process for equipment downtime
Act as focal point for supporting existing I&E equipment with support from vendors as needed.

Implement and follow SIG's ISO-9002 programs, policies and procedures outlined by the ISO Standard. Cooperate with the department to meet the requirements of ISO-9002 programs, policies and procedures, and to ensure continued compliance through regular internal audits and team meetings.

Titan America, LLC has an immediate opening for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer for our Pennsuco Cement Plant in Medley, FL. This salary exempt position is assigned to the Electrical Department and will report directly to the Electrical Maintenance Manager. The individual in this position will be responsible for supporting reliable operation of the plant electrical and automation systems while helping to keep maintenance and repair costs at a minimum.
Job Responsibilities:

+ Maintain and promote strict adherence to all safety rules, regulations, and company policies.

+ Provide maintenance engineering support to the electrical team.

+ Help develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for new and existing equipment.

+ Assist with integrating maintenance tasks required for new equipment and installations into existing maintenance plans.

+ Work on designing and implementing control system architecture upgrades or enhancements.

+ Evaluate chronic failures and RCA actions to develop and implement long term improvements.

+ Participate in in Root Cause failure Analysis for downtime events that meet trigger criteria.

+ Ensure high reliability through evaluations of critical spare parts availability.

+ Work on complex industrial equipment and systems including Medium and low voltage VFDs, PLC, HMI, plant control systems, and instrumentation systems

+ Work on power system components including breakers, relays, arrestors, transformers etc.

+ Evaluate and implement necessary power distribution, automation and motor control infrastructure upgrades or enhancements to ensure reliable operation.

+ Assist with developing and implementing CAPEX projects related to electrical and automation infrastructure improvements.

The Reliability Engineer provides leadership to the Maintenance Department by overseeing the development of technical maintenance systems and assisting in the training and development of team members.

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

* To be the champion of reliability centered maintenance activities, utilizing the professional maintenance world class manufacturing (WCM) techniques in driving equipment reliabilities to the highest possible levels.
* Ensure key performance indicators are captured and reported for equipment reliability, planning and scheduling business flow process. All performance measures are tracking on the reliability pillar board.
* Responsible for machine inspections, establish preventive and predictive maintenance programs, Upkeep and accuracy of equipment maintenance history and jobs record database (vibration analyses, oil analysis, and thermal imaging, etc.).
* Review Predictive Maintenance work orders generated from the Preventative Maintenance program, prioritize, and schedule accordingly. Collaborate with maintenance supervisor to schedule manpower resources for the most effective production and maintenance outcomes.
* Analyze Maintenance Key Performance Indicators to assist in finding opportunities for improvement.
* Develop cost and time estimates of Reliability planned maintenance work and implement maintenance cost improvement concepts.
* Assists with the Computerized Maintenance Management System up-keep, accuracy, & improvements of equipment maintenance history and job records database.
* Subject Matter Expert for Predictive Maintenance Programs including Vibration Analysis, Infrared Thermography, Oil Sample & Analysis, PdMA Motor Testing and Lubrication.
* Strong understanding with industrial electrical power distribution, motors, breakers, and transformers.
* Strong understanding of safety programs and policies.
* Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications

* Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a maintenance function in an industrial environment with demonstrated expertise in electrical reliability.
