As a leader of our Field Operations team, the Electrician Manager will spend their time managing PosiGen's electrical operations in Massachusetts. This includes visiting install sites, training electrical install teams, electrical permitting, coordinating with utility companies, designing line diagrams, as well as managing State of MA code compliance.
Essential Job Functions
Use Master Electrician license to help acquire Town & City electrical permits for solar installations
Inspect electrical systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustments or repair, and to assure compliance with state and local codes
Meet with City and/or Town Inspectors to inspect the Solar installs
Energize, test and commission the solar systems with and without the utility
Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, or components using test equipment, hand tools, and power tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem
Conduct tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance
Direct or train workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring and equipment
Provide supervision of electrical crews on code issues and proper installation procedures
Install ground leads and connect power cables to equipment, such as motors
Maintain and oversee electrical BOS material in a secure warehouse location
Education/Experience
Maintain current Master Electrician (Class A) license & any other license or certifications needed to meet State of MA Government Regulations
Experience with computer-aided design, Visio, or other CAD-like programs to draw the Line Diagrams needed, assuring that equipment, conduit, wiring, and grounding are state and local code compliant
Experience with Salesforce, SmartDraw, One Mile Up Panel Planner, Socrates Contractor's Library, and/or Craftsman CD Estimator are a plus.
Experience in reading blueprints, a tape measure, and technical drawings
Experience in bending tubing or conduit and fabricating, assembling, and disassembling manufactured products by hand
Experience in performing safety inspections in construction or resource extraction settings and industrial, manufacturing or repair settings
