As an Electrical Design Engineer at Panduit, you will join a cross-functional team of bright engineers dedicated to developing new products and enhancing our existing products to ensure customer satisfaction and meet customer needs. You will utilize and advance your design and analysis skills as a team member that develops products from concept to implementation. The team develops innovative products for Panduit and include active safety devices with a focus on electronic design and circuit development. Your knowledge/interest in circuit design (both analog and digital), schematic capture, circuit prototyping, circuit testing, and circuit debugging will be critical to your success in this role. Our state-of-the art facilities will provide you with opportunities to see your designs move from concept to production as you solve problems in our customer-focused environment.

What You Will Do
Design, schematic capture, and prototype electronic products. Test and verify new designs. Implement designs into production. Work with vendors and sourcing to define technical requirements for the product/components. Create and execute test plans for hardware and software validation. Design and implement electrical stress tests to ensure the reliability of the product.

What You Will Bring.
BSEE (MSEE or higher degree preferred) The ability to work closely with other engineers, lab technicians, product management and customers in a team environment Experience with personal computers; MS Word, Excel and Project required Microcontroller based hardware design and development knowledge/experience Digital and Analog (e.g., drivers, power supplies, batteries) hardware design and development knowledge/experience Schematic capture experience (Altium Designer is a plus) Physical circuit board layout experience (e.g. Altium, OrCAD, Mentor, Cadence Allegro) a plus

About the role:

The Electrical Engineer - Research and Development role will be part of our Brands and Products Team. Our Brands and Product team consists of passionate powersports professionals dedicated with prototyping, testing, and developing innovative, proprietary parts and apparel for our inhouse labels; MSR and Tusk. This department is full of creativity and endless opportunities!


In this role, you will have the opportunity to research, design, build, test, and refine electronic systems all while working within a team to develop, validate, and commercialize a variety of electrical design projects for consumer level audio products including Bluetooth wireless technology, sensor technology and audio performance optimization. To help you succeed, we've created a dynamic shop environment for design and creation to take place.


As an Electrical Engineer - Research and Development, you will be part of our design team building consumer electronics products, such as wireless intercoms, GPS integration, and machine monitoring devices. You will collaborate and work with internal engineers and designers, as well as external consultants and suppliers to create and refine new products. To be a successful candidate, you will have a background in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, knowledge of PCB layout design, schematic capture, manufacturing and assembly. Experience with firmware design, programming in C or Embedded C is a plus.


Physical Requirements:

Position performance will require the regular physical ability to walk and function in elevation changes by the means of self-propulsion, to include steps, ladders, and varied walking and working surfaces. Ability to negotiate warehouse work areas in a safe manner and behavior. Vision abilities specific to the position will include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus. Performing in this role will require the use of hands to use and handle tools, objects, materials, and controls. Performance requires the frequent ability to sit, talk, hear, stand, climb, balance, stoop kneel, crouch, or crawl. Employee will need to be able to read, write, and understand basics of the English language. Employee may have to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and up to 45 pounds assisted or if capable.
