You will…

Own the writing and tracking of tests and test executions in line with company project milestones
Continuously evaluate and enhance Waabi's vehicle platform capabilities, look for novel approaches, identify and apply lessons learned and ensure a detailed and comprehensive documentation that is easily accessible
Implement tools and methodologies to streamline and automate the vehicle platform requirement processes where applicable
Work with external partners on delivering a safe vehicle platform that has been verified and validated to support a strong safety case for the complete self-driving system
Qualifications:
Undergrad required; Masters or PhD within an engineering discipline preferred
3+ years of automotive, robotics, aerospace or related industry experience
Experience with requirements-specifications and metrics
Experience with executing complex vehicle test campaigns
Experience with methods and standards such as ISO 26262, SOTIF (ISO 21448) and / or UL 4600
Strong fundamentals in mathematics, engineering and physics and basic understanding of vehicle dynamics
Excellent data analysis skills with modern tools such as Python or Matlab
Open-minded and collaborative leader who is eager to provide guidance and has the willingness to help others

The US yearly salary range for this role is: $140,000 - $190,000 USD in addition to competitive perks & benefits. Waabi's yearly salary ranges are determined based on several factors in accordance with the Company's compensation practices. The salary base range is reflective of the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Note: The Company provides additional compensation for employees in this role, including equity incentive awards and an annual performance bonus.

Our team provides customers with support Special Mission Aircraft (SMA) heavy maintenance and modifications. The Staff ElectricalEngineer should have knowledge of and experience with circuit design/analysis and power electronics design to military, space, or aerospace standards commonly used in the defense and aerospace realm. + The candidate will provide liaison support and develop detailed electrical analyses in support of troubleshooting, drawing release, aircraft repairs or modification integration. These analyses will be in support of Material Review Board (MRB), and fleet management activities.
