The Electrician performs and/or assists in all factory, agricultural and operations maintenance activities. All applicable work is done in accordance with National, State and Local Electrical Codes. Safety & Technical Training Model and reinforce the highest standards of safety and professionalism. Provide clear instruction on best practices, risk awareness, and proper techniques so students enter the field prepared and confident. Student Mentoring Support students both academically and professionally. Help them build a strong foundation in technical ability, communication, teamwork, and the soft skills that set great electricians apart. Record Keeping & Grade Submission Maintain accurate, timely records related to attendance, grades, and assessments to ensure smooth operations and clear communication. Committee Work & Program Outreach Contribute to departmental initiatives, program development, and community outreach activities that highlight the program's strengths and support continued growth. Industry Collaboration Engage with industry partners to keep curriculum aligned with evolving needs, standards, and technologies. Strengthen relationships that lead to internships, apprenticeships, and employment opportunities for students. Other Duties Assist the Assistant Dean or Academic Dean with additional responsibilities that advance student success and program excellence. Minimum Requirements: * Associate degree in electrician technician or equivalent and three years non-teaching work experience. * Electrician License (Journeyman or higher). Preferred Qualifications: * Appropriate bachelor's degree. * Curriculum development, teaching, and/or training experience. * Experience with hands-on teaching methods. * Industry-related certifications.
