Recore Electrical Contractors is seeking skilled Traveling Industrial Electricians to join our field services team. Candidates will support industrial, manufacturing, and facility upgrade projects across the Southeast. This role involves regular travel to customer sites in NC, SC, TN, and GA to perform electrical installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and equipment startup. Most of our full-time traveling team are still able to spend weekends at home with their families, and are typically no more than 4 hours from home!
Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and repair industrial electrical systems and equipment
Run and terminate conduit, wire, cable trays, MCCs, and control panels
Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documents
Perform troubleshooting on motors, VFDs, PLC-based systems, and other industrial components
Ensure all work complies with NEC, OSHA, and company safety standards
Collaborate with project managers, foremen, and client personnel
Complete daily documentation, job reports, and time sheets
Requirements
3+ years of industrial/commercial electrical experience
Proficiency with 480V systems, motor controls, and industrial equipment
Ability to read electrical diagrams and construction drawings
Valid driver's license and ability to travel for extended periods
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in industrial environments
Strong commitment to safety
NCCER, OSHA 10/30, or state journeyman license preferred (not required)

Minimum Experience Requirements for Service Electrician
5+ years in the electrical service field, including commercial/industrial maintenance or service. Other relevant experience would be work in the fields of HVAC, plumbing, lighting/appliance repair, and low voltage or telecommunication installations.

Position Overview for Service Electrician
Specific job duties/responsibilities include the following:
Industrial, commercial, and residential electrical systems repair, maintenance, and installation
Troubleshooting
Customer service
Ability to handle service contracts, work orders, change orders, and billings
Daily, weekly, and/or monthly reporting as requested by the department manager
Periodic support of the company's commercial construction operations as needed
Increasing and/or promoting the company's visibility and image in the community
Additional duties as may be assigned from time to time by the department manager
