Position Overview
The general role of a Journeyman Electrician is to work in conjunction with Electricians and Electrical Foreman to install, maintain, and repair various electrical components within customer locations. This position will lead and mentor entry level electricians such as Electrical Apprentices.

Position Overview
The general role of a Journeyman Construction Electrician is to work in conjunction with Electricians and Electrical Foreman to install, maintain, and repair various electrical components within customer locations. This position will lead and mentor entry level electricians such as Electrical Assistants.
This individual will work with both low and medium voltage electrical applications, and work in a wide array of industries including Construction, Manufacturing, Power Plants, Commercial, Aggregate, Oil and Gas, Coal, Wind Energy, etc. This position must be flexible and willing to travel with overnight stays and work extended hours as needed.
The Journeyman Electrician will report to the Department Manager - Electrical and will work primarily at the field project locations.
What You'll Do
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in industrial facilities
Install basic and more complex electrical components such as motor control centers, transformers, instrumentation, switch gear, PLC controls, etc.
Run a variety of styles and sizes of conduit and cable trays to electrical devices
Pull wire to termination boxes, panels, and other controllers
Load and unload tools, materials, equipment, etc.
Read and follow electrical code, manuals, wiring and circuitry diagrams, blueprints, schematics, and other electrical specifications
Trouble-shoot, diagnose, and repair electrical issues, systems, and components independently with minimal direction and supervision
Drive ground rods and install grounding grids
Utilize hand tools, power tools, and electrical equipment pertinent to the electrical trade
Assess jobs as needed to determine material, tool, and equipment needs
Communicate and coordinate with Foreman and/or Superintendent to ensure successful job completion
Assist with paperwork and documentation for accurate record keeping
Lead and mentor entry level electricians such as Electrical Assistants

What You'll Bring
4+ years of electrical construction experience preferred
Experience in industrial electrical construction required
Valid Driver's License required

Possess proficient knowledge of NEC (National Electrical Code), electrical theory, and AC and DC circuits
Ability to utilize tools and diagnostic devices relevant to the electrical trade
