Overview As a Certified Electrician 2 at Sunrun you will be working on a variety of projects from training and mentoring other Electricians, installing solar systems, performing work for our existing customers, and learning more about energy storage and other new technology. Service Technicians serve as the company's frontline ambassadors, bringing their specialized expertise and knowledge to serving our customers. The ideal candidate should be able to independently operate their own service vehicle within 30 days. This includes proficiency in residential, troubleshooting, estimating, material procurement, sales, customer experience and strong electrical knowledge. What You'll Be Doing Complete all general electrical in-home, service calls. Establish customer trust and rapport to provide the best options regarding the right products and services. Understand your service criteria and hold yourself accountable for exceeding revenue goals. Train and mentor apprentices to ensure quick, accurate repairs and installations. Sales and estimating experience with a hunger to control your earning potential. At least 3+ years of progressive experience and at least 1 year in residential electrical Experience leading your own jobs or service calls. Journeyman License is preferred and required for sign-on bonus qualifications. High school diploma or equivalent Able to successfully pass a drug screening and background check. A valid driver's license and must be insurable. Pay and Benefits Disclosure The pay range for this role as of November 2025 is $75,000-125,000 This range is based on multiple factors, including but not limited to tenure, previous experience, qualifications, certifications, and geographic considerations. Job Summary Responsible for the electrical maintenance of all plant equipment to assure efficient, timely and safe operations of the facility. Major Job Responsibilities/Duties * Develops and implements cost effective preventive maintenance schedules and programs to maintain all electrical equipment in a safe and excellent operating condition * Performs all routine maintenance for electrical equipment. * Assures completion of electrical repairs as expeditiously and cost effectively as possible to avoid work stoppages while maintaining safety * Recommends replacement of equipment with reconditioned or with new facilities, if purchase would be more economical than repair * Determines spare parts to be ordered and ensures that all necessary parts and outside services are available to support electrical equipment * Trains backup personnel to insure proper operation of the Mill when the Electrician Foreman is not available. * Supervises outside vendors when required for repair of electric equipment * Assist garage mechanics with electrical repairs of yard/mill equipment as needed * Perform other duties as assigned Job Qualifications High School (or equivalent) or technical diploma required. Electrical license desired Job Related Experience * Up to 8 years' experience in operation & maintenance of electrical equipment (i.e. High Voltage - 4160V0, equipment interlocks, and control wiring. Ability to read blueprints, electrical schematics. Power generation experienced desired. * Employee must be conscientious in practicing sale operating conditions in the plants at all times and be able to anticipate electrical equipment maintenance needs. Must have the technical knowledge to repair and maintain power generation equipment. * Good communication skills. Be able to work with little or no supervision. Be able to keep regular and timely records. * Be able to troubleshoot problems, find solutions and correct the problem.
