Electrician Salary:45.90/hr **UNION PLANT** Shift: 3rd shift This position will trouble-shoot, repair, program, replace, maintain, and install electrical/electronic systems for production related equipment and building utilities within this high-speed state-of-the-art metal packaging manufacturing facility. Equipment includes packaging machinery. Responsibilities include following all local, state and federal electrical codes. Documentation of problems and maintenance of equipment and facility systems are also required. This position will also provide training for equipment operation and safety precautions. Responsibilities also include installing and maintaining new and existing electrical wiring within the facility. Job Requirements A high school graduate or equivalent with 4+ years working experience in a manufacturing setting (high-speed manufacturing is preferred). An Associates/technical degree is preferred or a related vocational/technical certification (state electrical license, journeyman license, etc.). Knowledge of Allen Bradley/Omron/Direct Logic PLC's are required as well as integrated Window software to analyze AC/DC, single phase and 3 phase generators and AC/DC motors, relays, switches, breaker transformers, and power panels. Knowledge of single and 3-phase up to 440 volts. This position also requires the individual to be able to read and interpret mechanical blueprints, electrical schematics, and parts specifications. Disassembles, inspects, reassembles, troubleshoots, repairs, and replaces malfunctioning parts or equipment (motors, switches, sensors, input/output board, controllers, gears, sprockets, chains, knives, etc.) using test equipment and meters such as VOM, megger, amp probe, and PC. Comply with OSHA Safety and Health standards and requirements. Abide by pant GMPs and Safety Regulations. EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma or Equivalent. Vocational school a plus. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Industrial/ Manufacturing Experience. Ability to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb balance; and regularly lift and/ or move up to 50 lbs. Knowledge of mechanical equipment and an understanding of how machinery works. Ability to multitask and work according to deadlines. Handle confidential information appropriately. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and shop tools. Knowledge of and ability to use electrical meters and welding equipment. Prior experience in industrial mechanics or maintenance operations - preferred. Proficient knowledge required in the use of tablets. Maintenance tracking software is a plus. Efficiency tracking software is a plus. E-Maint Boot Camp is a plus. 90% of the day spent standing and walking.
