Job Responsibilities

1. Maintain and repair main electrical services, distribution services, panels, and powerline conditioners. Inspect and maintain plant substation, transformers, and HV switches.

2. Install electrical utilities to production and support equipment, and troubleshoot these systems when necessary.

3. Repair and replace all facility lighting and maintain it.

4. Preventative maintenance of emergency electrical power systems.

5. Assist in all electrical needs of the manufacturing areas.

6. Perform weekly and monthly preventative maintenance assignments.

7. Complete work orders as assigned.

9. Ensure electrical installations are installed and maintained in accordance with NEC and IEEE.

10. Maintain electrical diagnostic tools and equipment in safe operating condition. Maintain hot stick and other equipment in safe operating condition.

11. Work overtime as needed by the department. Work flexible hours as business needs require.

12. Actively participate in Continuous Improvement teams and activities, including 5S, blitzes, Shift Start-up, updating PVD boards, lean lite, KAS, etc.

13. Communicate in an effective, timely, and appropriate manner to all associates (i.e. peers, support teams and

management) including escalating issues.

14. Comply with all local, state, federal, and client safety regulations, policies, and procedures including RCRA Hazardous Waste regulations.

15. Comply with all local client quality policies, procedures, and practices through consistent application of sound quality assurance principles.

16. Perform electrical troubleshooting and repair duties such as but not limited to, motor repair (420 volt and higher), PLC troubleshooting

17.Installed equipment and machinery including motors, starters, large and small pipe, air handler units, VFD's, generators, transformers.

18.Repair and replace wiring, equipment and fixtures

19.Assemble, install, test or maintain electrical or electronic wiring equipment

20.Perform business management duties

21.Place conduits, pipes or tubing inside designated walls or other concealed areas

22.Advise management on whether operation of equipment could be hazardous

Requirements

• High school diploma / GED

• AA / AS in an electrical field preferred

• MA State Journeyman/ Master Electricians License (preferred)

• Ability to interpret drawings and specifications

• Effective written and oral communications skills (English), math skills, and interpersonal skills

• Basic computer skills

• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

• Experience with high voltage substation and equipment is a plus

• Experience with all types of electrician's hand tools and power tools, drill motors, saws, roto hammer, etc.

• Willing to train in safe electrical work practices and high voltage

• A minimum of five to ten years electrical experience

• Job duties may require standing, kneeling, crawling, bending, use of hands, fingers, arms to install, repair and maintain electrical systems and equipment.

• Knowledge of mechanical systems and operation of production utility support equipment is a plus

Repairs, installs, replaces, and tests electrical circuits, equipment, and appliances.

Experience in the operation, repair, and maintenance of naval or marine hull, mechanical, or electrical systems is highly desired, including:

+ Repairs, installs, replaces, and tests electrical circuits, cables, equipment, and connectors.

+ Uses hand tools and testing equipment.

+ Inspects and tests electrical equipment, lighting, signal, communication, and power circuits.

+ Isolates defects in wiring, switches, motors, and other electrical equipment using general and specialized testing equipment.

+ Replaces faulty switches, sockets, and other elements of electrical systems.

+ Dismantles electrical machinery and replaces defective electrical or mechanical parts such as gears, brushes, and armatures.
