Field Technician IV
Under general supervision, install, maintain, and repair backup generator systems and associated electrical infrastructure at wireless communications facilities throughout the region. Ensure safe, code-compliant operation of all electrical systems supporting critical telecommunications equipment.

Connect generators to automatic transfer switches and facility electrical distribution panels
Commission new generator systems through startup, load testing, and integration with facility monitoring systems
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on generator systems per manufacturer specifications
Diagnose and repair generator mechanical and electrical failures
Electrical Systems Work:
Install and repair electrical distribution systems, including circuit breaker panels, disconnect switches, and metering equipment
Run power supply wiring, cables, and conduit for new equipment installations
Install and connect electrical components including motors, relays, contactors, and control systems
Test circuit continuity, voltage, amperage, and ground fault protection to ensure safe operation
Measure, cut, bend, thread, and install electrical conduit using industry-standard tools and techniques
Site Management & Documentation:
Respond to work orders and emergency service calls at remote telecommunications facilities
Conduct site inspections to identify electrical hazards and needed repairs
Maintain accurate records of materials used, labor hours, and work performed
Prepare time and material estimates for projects
Ensure work areas are clean, organized, and secure upon job completion
Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and materials
Safety & Compliance:
Operate all equipment according to established safety procedures and OSHA regulations
Work safely around energized electrical systems and telecommunications equipment

Working Conditions

Environmental Factors: Work performed outdoors and indoors at remote telecommunications sites in all weather conditions. Exposure to extreme heat and cold, noise, dust, and vibration. The likely hourly rate for this position is between $38.25 - $51.75. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.

About the Role
