About the Role GlacierGrid is seeking a skilled and adaptable Field Electrician to support the deployment of our energy management hardware at commercial sites across the U.S. You'll be responsible for installing sub-meters, load controllers, and three-phase meters, primarily at quick-service restaurants (QSRs), convenience stores, and other multi-site commercial facilities. In addition to electrical work, you'll assist with the installation and maintenance of smart thermostats and related HVAC hardware, working closely with our in-house and third-party HVAC technicians. This is a field-heavy role requiring up to 75% travel monthly. You'll coordinate closely with our Engineering, Product, and Business Innovation teams to ensure seamless installs, troubleshoot issues, and help scale our field operations nationwide. The Remote Electrician maintains, troubleshoots, repairs, installs, and constructs industrial and commercial electrical equipment. This position will also be required to assist in other duties to include HVAC, plumbing, light carpentry, and any other general maintenance tasks as assigned. Responsibilities * Helps plan new or modified installations to minimize waste of materials, provide access for future maintenance, and avoid unsightly, hazardous, and unreliable wiring, consistent with specifications and electrical codes. * Trouble shoots such electrical equipment as used in air handling systems, overhead cranes, fire detection, security systems, or alarm systems. * Repairs major industrial devices in the power distribution area, PLC's including use of ladder diagrams and troubleshooting circuits controlled by PLC's, metal clad switch gear, breakers and protective devices including solid state controlled units. * Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles, and installs electrical conduit. * Installs control and distribution apparatus such as switches, relays, and circuit-breaker panels.
