Additional skills require sufficient knowledge to adjust gear trains, cams, levers, etc. In general, the work of the maintenance electrician requires rounded training and experience usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience.
GENERAL DUTIES: This position is within the Support Department and will require overtime and shift work. The position will report to Range Services Supervisor and will primarily perform work assignments as part of an Electrical crew. Daily work is performed with the direction of the Lead Electrician and reports to Eglin AFB, FL, Main Base. An ideal Electrician candidate will perform a variety of electrical trade functions such as the installation, maintenance, or repair of equipment for the generation, distribution, or utilization of electrical energy. In-depth knowledge of the principles of electricity, shop practices, and technique including electrical circuitry and schematics is required. Must possess the ability to interpret and work from blueprints, drawings, manuals, handbooks, and technical specifications. Job functions may also include cross utilization on task as Direct Mission support, controlling range test areas, working with other crews within Range Services, such as Welders, Heavy Equipment Operators, Carpenters and Tower climbers.
OTHER DUTIES: Works under general supervision and may be required to lead crew and direct the activities of lesser skilled electricians. May be required to handle hazardous materials.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Must have graduated from a vocational school/military technical school, electrical training program, or a certified electrician apprenticeship program and have at least three years practical experience in electrical repair and installations with a minimum of two years' experience in electrical installation/construction such as conduit bending, threading and fitting, wire pulling and terminating. Must have familiarity with the National Electrical Code.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. All selected candidates must undergo and successfully pass a background investigation and drug test as a condition of placement into this position. May be required to obtain and maintain a Class "A" or "B" CDL driver's license in order to operate the Line Truck or Bucket truck. Works under general supervision and may be required to oversee and direct the activities of lesser skilled electricians. Supports E-OMS operational objectives. Observes company Quality, Safety, Environmental, Security and Administrative policies; supports Process Improvement.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: May be required to work under difficult physical and environmental conditions both inside and outside.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Position requires crawling, bending, stooping; working in various awkward positions, climbing tall structures and working at heights for extended periods of time. Could be required to climb towers up to 300' tall and work at heights for extended periods of time. Will be required to work in extreme weather condition for extended periods of time, operate industrial support equipment, handle hazardous material, and housekeeping duties in work areas.

Job Description
I.C.E. Contractors is currently seeking Electrician Helpers and Entry Level Laborers who are eager to learn and are passionate about the electrical trade. This position services our Pensacola, FL location and surrounding areas and will be responsible for tasks pertaining to, but not limited to, loading and unloading heavy materials, demolition, and following directions from supervisors. Responsibilities
Learn from the master electrician and/or project managers/foreman and completing all assigned duties
Perform all work in a manner that meets and follows electrical codes, blueprints, and standards
Prep construction sites by cleaning and maintaining job sites, clearing of hazards and obstacles
Load or unload construction materials
Help electricians when necessary
Follow instructions from supervisors
Ready to lean from on-the-job training when necessary
Perform site clean-up
Qualifications
Completion of an electrician program at a technical or trade school preferred
0-3 years of electrical experience
Valid driver's license in state of practice
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
Ability to bend, climb, squat, reach, and kneel
Demonstrated ability to operate hand and power tools associated with electrical work
Ability to calculate basic mathematical problems
Willing to work overtime
