Install, maintain, and repair shipboard electrical equipment and wiring in accordance with NAVSEA standards
Interpret and work from electrical schematics, blueprints, and work packages
Run and terminate cabling, install lighting, switches, motors, controllers, and circuit protection
Conduct continuity checks, insulation resistance tests, and ensure grounding compliance
Support the setup and testing of control panels and electrical distribution systems
Work safely in confined spaces, elevated areas, and active shipyard environments
Collaborate with other trades to ensure efficient and high-quality work
Qualifications:
2-4 years of experience as a Marine Electrician in shipyard or naval vessel environments
Familiar with MIL-SPEC standards and NAVSEA drawing interpretation
Strong understanding of AC/DC electrical systems and marine cableway practices
Experience with cable pulling, terminations, testing, and troubleshooting
Must pass background check and drug screening
OSHA 10 Maritime, DBIDS preferred or ability to obtain
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in confined spaces, and stand for extended periods
