Job Summary
Provides repair and on-site installation on a variety of Veterinary equipment. Learns and follows manufacturer guidelines relative to the operation, repair, maintenance and installation of equipment.

Install, Maintain and/or Repair Veterinary Equipment
Independently responds to assigned customer service calls, diagnosing problems and making appropriate repairs.
Repairs, loads, delivers, installs, and specs equipment to meet specific manufacturer, Federal and State regulations.
Trains to perform standard system installations and tests the functionality of all components.
Trains customers on the use and basic maintenance of equipment at the customers site.
Learns and follows specific manufacturer guidelines for repairs as well as all company, OSHA, or other agencies' policies related to asepsis.
Completes all required service forms (service order, confirmations, inventory, expense reports, time sheet, and equipment related items).
Maintains strong and supportive customer relationships by providing technical support after initial installation of Equipment, PC software, and hardware and ensuring that service commitments are met within standard response time.
Maintain relevant communication with Service Coordinator, Equipment Specialist and Territory Manager.
Inventory Management
Determines parts, supplies or tools needed to complete service requests.
Uses, maintains, and secures test devices and tools used to adjust, calibrate, and repair equipment.
Manages vehicle inventory and restocks as necessary.
Physical inventory audits on a bi-annual basis
Asset Management
Ensures proper vehicle maintenance guidelines and safe driving habits are followed.
Ensures proper use and maintenance of all company provided assets, including but not limited to phone, computer, parts, tools and uniforms.
Job Qualifications

What You Will Be Doing:
As a Master Electrician, you'll play a key role in ensuring safe, efficient, and code-compliant electrical installations across Helion's facilities. Our structured program provides thoughtful opportunities for each apprentice to learn all the phases of a selected craft. This is done by focused tracking of assignments and classroom instruction that enables the apprentice to learn and demonstrate competence in the various job assignments within the trade. Our classroom curriculum meets the rigorous requirements of State of Washington Department of Labor & Industries. These college level classes are generally held on site after or before the apprentice's regular paid work hours. Classroom hours are unpaid and, on the apprentice's, own time. A normal academic load is about three hours of classroom instruction per week. Apprentices are required to maintain minimum cumulative average of 80% and failure of any course will result in removal from the program. Homework is assigned in each class and it is the responsibility of the apprentice to complete the assignments outside the normal workday.
What You will Do
Depending on the trade, apprentices (or pre-apprentices) will learn to build vessel structures, hull components, piping systems, machinery installations and alignments, and prepare surfaces for painting or structural welding. The exact functions and responsibilities will vary by trade, and cannot be enumerated for all trades in this posting. For illustration, however, Marine Pipefitters fabricate and install all the piping systems on the ship. Ship Fitter/ Fabricators fabricate and install the many pieces that make up the hull of the ship and install equipment foundations and miscellaneous structural pieces. * Provides updates and corrections to City maps to the City's senior surveyor for correction. Prints maps for special projects and work crews or to troubleshoot problems as needed. May make mapping corrections and updates as necessary.
* Uses other computer software programs including maintenance of databases to support operations.
* Uses work management software to accurately track labor and asset maintenance. Creates preventative maintenance routines, when necessary, to ensure maintenance standards are met.
* Adds and removes assets to the asset management system and GIS.
* Responsible for ensuring accidents and injuries are appropriately documented by field staff. May also assist in the creation of modified duty agreements.
* When City owned assets are damaged or destroyed, creates billing sheets to recover repair costs.
Budget and Asset Inventory Management
* Assists Operations Division Maintenance Supervisor in maintaining the section budget. Monitors budget monthly to ensure expenditures and revenues are accounted for and corrects discrepancies immediately. Performs research for budget preparation and maintains records as assigned.
* Following the City's purchasing policies, purchases materials and/or contracted services for the work of the section.
* Performs administrative functions, which includes inventory, operational reports, record-keeping and statistics, policy research and development, and special projects as assigned.
* Purchase inventory and maintains sufficient emergency inventory repair parts as needed for assigned work section.
Other duties as assigned:
* Performs related work and special projects as assigned.
* Perform Journey-Level Maintenance Work when needed.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
A High School Diploma or G.E.D. AND three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in electrical maintenance and construction, with an emphasis on traffic control signals and street lighting. Must also have at least one (1) year of work experience which demonstrates the ability to plan, lead and assume responsibility in work situations, experience may have been obtained concurrently.
