Working with other Maintenance and Operations personnel the selected candidate must be able to safely and efficiently troubleshoot and repair process related challenges by testing, tuning, maintaining and repairing electrical equipment in a heavy industrial environment to include low and medium voltage AC and DC motors, motor controls, switchgear, variable frequency drives, and PLCs. Job Description $39.49 per hour journeyman rate. Inland Empire Paper Company is a state-of-the-art paper manufacturing facility in Spokane, Washington. We are seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to plan and execute complex equipment maintenance. Install, start-up, test, inspect, repair, program, tune, maintain and calibrate electrical equipment in heavy industrial environment including low, medium and high voltage, AC and DC motors, motor controls, switchgear, PLC's, VFD's and other heavy industrial equipment related to pulp and paper mill operations. Tasks also include working with other Maintenance and Operations personnel to troubleshoot and repair process related challenges. Qualifications Ability to perform all work safely. Can-do attitude. 2 year degree in Electrical Technology or equivalent experience and/or apprenticeship. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to perform essential functions of working in a heavy industrial environment (climbing ladders, climbing stairs, walking distances, working at heights, working in tight or enclosed spaces, inclement weather, temperature extremes). Strong diagnostic skills and willingness to learn new equipment and procedures as needed. Ability to read, understand and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. Familiarization with the National Electrical Code. Medium voltage experience is preferred, but not required. Washington EL01 or EL07 preferred but not required. Additional Information Journeyman pay rate is $39.49/hr. Additional pay can be earned as skills/certifications are obtained. 4-10 day shift schedule, includes one weekend and one swing shift rotation every 5-6 weeks, with 6 days off prior to the weekend shift. Less than journey-level skill and experience will be considered for well qualified candidates. Coordinate with project managers, technicians, inspectors, and other trades to meet project timelines and safety requirements. Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of new and existing systems, identifying and correcting deficiencies. Use a variety of tools and meters to complete electrical tasks safely and accurately. Adhere strictly to OSHA safety standards, lockout/tagout procedures, PPE use, and job site protocols. Accurately complete daily work logs, inspection checklists, and material usage reports. What You Bring to the Table: An electrical license must be a WA or reciprocal state license.
