Qualifications
Must possess competence in the following areas in order to perform this role in a safe, productive and effective manner:
Interprets drawings, sketches, plans and determines best work procedures, tools, equipment needed to troubleshoot and repair problems

Responsibilities:
Perform routine preventative and corrective maintenance and testing on equipment

Qualifications:
Ability to pass a Ramsay aptitude test
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience; additional technical training or certifications desired
Three or more years proven maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
Prior experience with high-and low-pressure compressors, chillers, water treatment, boilers is preferred
Strong technical knowledge of compressed air systems (pneumatics), electrical systems, hydraulics and water processing is preferred
Knowledge of bottling equipment, PM programs and SAP system preferred
Must have electrical knowledge of single and three phase power including the ability to diagnose and replace electric motors

The position of Maintenance Technician is a hands-on position, that provides technical expertise and participates in the maintenance, repair, and preventive maintenance of facility equipment to reduce downtime while increasing operational efficiency in a validated, cGMP environment. This equipment includes machinery, buildings, computer systems, control systems, safety, and security systems. Additionally, this position includes responsibility for maintaining shop tools, inventory, and keeping the department's CMMS (computerized maintenance management system) updated all while adhering to Lean and 5S principles. This position will also be required to support after hours emergency response activities on an as needed basis. In addition, this position assists with the development and maintaining of parts inventory systems. Depending on the modality in which this role operates (i.e. Gamma), this is a physical role - requiring strength and endurance.
Pay: $25.00 per hour plus a $3.00 shift differential
Shift: 5:30 pm - 5:30 am (2-2-3 schedule)
Training will be on day shift Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm for 6-8 months. You must be able to move to night shift after training.
What You'll do as a Maintenance Technician
Performs technical troubleshooting on a variety of modalities, technologies, and locations. Performs regularly scheduled preventative maintenance on high volume, validated processing equipment. Reviews preventative maintenance tasks for effectiveness and frequency and recommends any continuous improvement changes or Lean practices for implementation to management.
Optimizes processing and reduces downtime by performing predictive and preventative maintenance on all equipment, machinery and facility buildings; participating in the installation of new equipment as required; maintaining electrical system, including facility lighting by installing and repairing wiring and fixtures; and performing general maintenance tasks, including landscaping, painting, and carpentry.
Contributes to maintaining a safe, secure and clean workplace by conducting the daily, weekly, quarterly and semi-annual safety/maintenance inspections according to pre-established guidelines and schedules; completes related paperwork in a timely and accurate manner to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards, while adhering to all safety procedures, including Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO), following Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and complying with all environmental requirements for waste and disposal.
Contributes to production efficiency by completing shift work in a timely manner as well as responding to off shift maintenance calls on a 24-hour rotating on-call responsibility as assigned. Maintaining a spare parts program, and either repairing or deferring action for immediate supervisor decision.
Maintains building climate by installing, repairing, servicing, or performing preventative maintenance on HVAC (Heating, ventilation, air-conditioning) systems.
Strives for continuous improvement by analyzing new or alternative ways to improve operations, monitoring production efficiency, incorporating staff recommendations into analysis, responds to audit activities in a constructive manner and uses findings to improve operations where possible.
Continuously maintains mechanical and technical skills, knowledge, and abilities required for the position. by attending workshops, reviewing trade publications, participating in training and training others to conduct minor, basic repairs to equipment, machinery, etc.; completing necessary certification and re-certification requirements. Contributes to a team effort by performing in accordance to all STERIS policies, GMP, Lean principles and other directives; supports the directives and decisions of higher-level management and performs other duties as assigned.
The Experience, Skills and Abilities Needed
Required:
High school Diploma or GED.
Subject to passing Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) required background check.
Minimum of 2 years of related experience in positions demonstrating knowledge of maintenance systems, mechanical processes and production output in a manufacturing/industrial/military environment.
Must be clean shaven to wear proper PPE.
Ability to effectively read, write and verbally communicate in English. (English and Spanish in PR)
Requires working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, mechanics or electrical applications.
Ability to lift up to 50lb regularly.
Preferred:
Electrical knowledge.
Industrial Maintenance experience.

Requires computer literacy to include word processing, spreadsheet and software capabilities.

Qualifications
Must possess competence in the following areas in order to perform this role in a safe, productive and effective manner:
Interprets drawings, sketches, plans and determines best work procedures, tools, equipment needed to troubleshoot and repair problems
Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles and installs electrical conduit; weld supports; install cable and ductbanks; make terminations
Installs control and distribution apparatus' and fastens in place
Test and start up systems and continuity of circuit to insure electrical compatibility and safety of components
Observes functioning of installed equipment or system to determine hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement
May be required to pull wire through conduit; connect wiring to fixtures and power equipment
Work with medium and low voltage systems
Disassembles and repairs defective electrical equipment or systems
Operate electrical and mechanical hand tools, power, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical tools
Responsibilities
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
Must be able to pass pre-employment criminal background screen
Must possess current State of Texas Journeyman Electrician License
Ability to exert heavy physical effort, handling average weight objects up to 25 pounds
Ability to kneel, stoop, crouch, balance, climb or crawl
Ability to correctly rig and hoist material
Ability to tolerate heights without fear
Ability to maintain balance
Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time, reach for, handle, and manipulate items and to work in extreme weather conditions (cold and wet)
Able to work long, irregular and varied hours, 50 to 70 hours per week

Position Overview
The Heavy Equipment Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for daily inspections, lubrication, basic operation, and general upkeep of construction equipment. This role supports jobsite productivity by ensuring equipment remains safe, reliable, and ready for use.
Key Responsibilities
Perform daily inspections on heavy equipment to identify needed repairs or adjustments.
Conduct daily lubrication, oiling, and greasing of equipment.
Assist with minor repairs and report major mechanical issues to supervisors.
Operate equipment as needed to support jobsite activities.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
Communicate equipment needs or potential issues promptly to leadership.
Experience Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of experience servicing heavy equipment.
Basic experience operating various types of construction equipment is required.
Job Requirements
Willing and able to travel as needed.
Valid driver's license.
Must successfully pass all pre-employment screenings (including but not limited to drug screen and background check).

Function as a Journeyman for Bergelectric Corp.; installing new electrical systems and repairing existing electrical systems while maintaining compliance with national, state and local electrical codes along with all Bergelectric Corp. policies and procedures. Support activities at commercial, industrial, institutional and residential locations. This is considered to be a safety sensitive position.
Responsibilities
Install, repair, maintain, and test commercial, industrial and residential electrical systems in full support of Bergelectric Corp. safety, operations and productivity initiatives.
Use industry related hand tools and power tools.
Measure, cut, bend, thread, etc. and install wire and electrical cable systems, conduit systems and other wire raceway systems.
Feed to, pull into, and terminate wire and cable within control centers, distribution boxes, transformers, transducers, switch gear, receptacles, switches, etc.
Splice and terminate wires at junction points.
Troubleshoot equipment electrical systems and control circuits and build control panels from drawings.
Prepare sketches and schematic diagrams showing the location of wiring and electrical systems.
Delegate tasks and assist with training other employees.
Communicate effectively with Foremen and crew members.
Maintain workflow schedule to ensure all Bergelectric Corp. productivity objectives are met.
Demonstrate the highest level of professionalism and courtesy when interacting with colleagues, customers and vendors.
Adhere to all Bergelectric Corp.'s safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Must hold a current Journeyman Wireman license (if required by the applicable state, city or county).
Ability to install power systems: lighting, fire protection, security, and data network.
Ability to build and install control panels and provide maintenance to systems.
Experience using Electrical Single Line blueprints.
Experience finding and repairing faults in electrical apparatus and circuits.
Ability to verify compliance and functionality of installations.
Experience helping with the management of a project and crew.
Ability to manage material estimates.
Demonstrate strong leadership and pre-planning abilities.
Physical Demands
Lift 50 lbs. from the ground and pull 50 lbs. of force.
Perform ladder climbing, wire pulling and conduit bending.
Fully squat, stoop or kneel while wearing a 25 lbs. tool belt.
Maintain a standing position for long periods of time while performing repetitive actions such as grasping or manipulating wires.
Work off of ladders, man lifts or reach booms.
Working Environment
A variety of weather conditions including cold, snow, rain, heat, etc.
High noise levels.
