As an Electrical Controls Technician, you would be responsible for diagnostics, repairs, and maintaining Cedar Point's controls systems. Working as a team, the systems are maintained to a high standard. This is done utilizing digital multi-meters, PLC ladder logic, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics, and other types of diagnostic software and tools. Must have a working knowledge of Allen Bradley controls to include DC and AC drives and a multitude of PLCs from the tried-and-true PLC5 to the latest and greatest ControlLogix. The brands of drives and PLCs are not limited to Allen Bradley.
Responsibilities:
Install and repair electrical systems.
Calibrate equipment, design, inspect, and troubleshoot wiring, panels, glitches, and other malfunctions.
Diagnose and repair DC drive controllers and DC motors.
Must know how to use amp probe, digital volt meter, oscilloscope and other test equipment.
Diagnose PLC (SLC500, PLC5, NUMA LOGIC, ControlLogix 5000, CompactLogix) and relay logic electrical problems.
Working knowledge of Allen Bradley, Icom software programs, hydraulic and pneumatic systems desirable.
Familiar with AutoCad and capable of drawing schematics.
Standard control system wiring practices and control sensing devices such as proximity sensors, photo eyes, etc.
Other duties may be assigned.

Position Summary
In this role as an Industrial Maintenance Technician, you will assist with maintenance and repair operations of the production equipment & building HVAC equipment to continuously improve operations of production lines and complete Preventative Maintenance requests. Will be accountable for machine down time and involved in maintaining the entire plant's physical property.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and complete basic repairs of hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic systems; assist in more complex equipment repairs.
Work in a team environment and assumes a team role while being engaged in departmental problem-solving operations.
Learn to process and complete all Preventative Maintenance requests for the respective departments in a timely manner and according to training provided.
Preventive Maintenance on rooftop HVAC units, to include clean coils, replace filters, tighten belts, inspect motors, check relays, wires, & sensors.
Answer calls for production support and assist in changeovers and setups.
Use a variety of hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, precision measuring instruments and other shop tools and equipment.
Support Lean Manufacturing goals, including all 6S processes and good communication to the production teams and management.
Develop a customer/supplier relationship with the production teams.
Follow all safety guidelines and promote safety in the work areas; is always respirator-fit ready.

Knowledge and Experience
One year of production maintenance experience required.
Background in Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) required. HVAC Background to include demonstrated coursework and employment as HVAC specialist or helper.
Forklift experience - driving authorization required within three (3) months of acquiring position.
Knowledge of safe use of various equipment (such as drills, saws, hand tools, electronics, and welder torch).
Mechanical aptitude to perform equipment troubleshooting and repair/rebuild, with emphasis on HVAC equipment.
Ability to read and understand product quality requirements, basic schematics, and diagrams.
Upon work assignment, ability to plan, prioritize and manage daily activities (self-motivated and self-directed).

The Building Mechanic participates in the inspection, maintenance, mechanical, electrical, and other building/facility systems at various locations as needed. For Building Mechanic A:
* It is preferred that this position have working knowledge of electrical systems including generators, uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems, building switchgear, building automation systems, power distribution units, motor control centers and circuitry. A certified electrician would be preferred.

* Works with management to modify or revise HVAC maintenance program and procedures to optimize program effectiveness. Develops and monitors performance measures.
* Monitors daily operation of energy management systems at specified facilities, including after hours, holidays, and weekends when on call
* Installs electrical wiring and equipment of lighting, power supply and complex control systems
* Performs regular scheduled preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment. This normally consists of changing out filters, replacing drive belts, and inspection of components.
* Monitors HVAC system performance, recommends system changes, assists in developing specifications and evaluating options for HVAC projects.
* Working knowledge of large HVAC systems, including chillers, AHU's, CRAC units and commercial humidification systems.
* Installs and removes mobile and permanent partitions, frames openings and hangs doors and sash: installs woodwork trim and moldings; installs and repairs floor tiles, carpet tiles, acoustical and plastic ceiling; and repairs concrete floors and sidewalks.
* Ensure change management protocols are followed.
* Must be able to work shift work and overtime as assigned; must be able to work scheduled weekends shifts. Position may require overnight stays as needed.
* Respond to support operational and emergency situations 24/7.
An employee hired at the Building Mechanic A level will be expected to perform all of the above responsibilities with more proficiency, and in a more independent manner. Further, the Building Mechanic A level employee will be assigned additional responsibilities related to those listed above.
Qualifications for a Building Mechanic A include:
* High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
* Trade School or Apprenticeship Program preferred.
* Minimum five (5) years' work experience as an electrician, trade certifications preferred.
* Possess CFC, National Electric Code, and Fork Truck Certifications preferred.
* Journeyman Electrician License and Electrical Licenses preferred.

We are currently seeking an experienced Technician to support the ELE and EMC Department at our Middleburg Heights, Ohio location. This role involves Electrical Product Safety and Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) testing, supporting compliance evaluations, data analysis, and reporting for a wide range of products to ensure they meet regulatory and safety standards.
DUTIES : The successful candidate will perform, but not be limited to, the following duties:
ELE
Read, understand, organize, and execute testing programs for a variety of different material and assembly evaluations.
Have the ability to read and interpret various electrical safety standards (CSA, UL, IEC, etc.).
Liaison with QAI account managers and clients to ensure appropriate testing and timelines to meet client expectations and goals.
Work independently to ensure completion of testing, reporting and certification programs.
Observe QAI Quality Management Systems and best work practices.
Present professional and friendly work environment for QAI clients and fellow staff.
General lab duties including clean up, organizing, material procurement as required.
Lab equipment maintenance and construction of test fixtures.
Duties as assigned by management.
EMC
Perform testing of equipment to recognized standards
Record and analyze test data
Understand technical result from relevant equipment (such as spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, radio frequency amplifiers, chart recorders etc.)
Write concise and accurate test reports:
Interpret technical instructions and log sheets including maintaining a log of reports and update management of project status as needed
Enter test data using Microsoft Office and other programs.
Write clear and concise language that is responsive to requirements.
Interact effectively with clients and staff
Work with Program Managers to incorporate customer edits
Work collaboratively with engineers and other subject matters expert to understand the operation and application of all products and services that are being documented
Maintain test equipment and track calibration records
Ensure work complies with the QAI quality system
Other duties as assigned by the manager or its designee
QUALIFICATIONS : The successful candidate will:
Minimum
Have a technician / trade school diploma / two or more years degree or equivalent directly related experience.
Possess the ability to read, understand, and apply technical Electrical Safety & EMC standards towards product testing programs
Possess “Good Laboratory Practice” skills essential for testing products.
Possess strong analytical skills
Possess good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral
Possess ability to work effectively within the team while under tight deadlines
Possess superior MS Word and Excel skills and be proficient with email correspondence
KEY TECHNICAL COMPETENCE:
Accepts instruction and follows it for testing outside of their general scope of knowledge and experience.
Able to grasp general concepts in a field of testing and apply it to specific test methods.
Able to perform testing and as knowledge grows in a specific field of testing graduates to more complex testing methods.
Seeks assistance and knowledge from more senior personnel when a specific requirement is outside of their general scope of
knowledge.
Good working knowledge of the test methods in their specific discipline.
Able to multi-task with some degree of efficiency and accuracy.
Maintains a sense of ownership and responsibility for projects assigned to them.

Maintain and repair low and medium-voltage power distribution systems and motor control centers (MCCs).
Knowledge of three phase electrical systems up to 480vac
HVAC experience.
Work closely with the production team to ensure minimal interruption to operations due to electrical failures.
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure optimal equipment performance.
Regularly inspect machinery and equipment to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and service standards.
Assist in preparing infrastructure for incoming equipment.
