Background
* Works under general supervision of the Electrical Supervisor in a GMP regulated manufacturing environment operating under Q7A standards.
* Perform general industrial electrician duties (installation, maintenance, and service of electrical systems), with strong emphasis on running and landing wires, building panels, new startup check outs, running and bending conduit, and mounting wire raceways.

The Instrument / Electrical Technician reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and/or Operations Supervisor and is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining all process instruments, controls, computers, PLCs and electrical systems at the Baldwin Power Plant.
Responsibilities:
Troubleshoots and repairs of electric, electronic and control circuitry, programmable logic controllers, AC and DC motors, breakers (120v 1-phase to 4160v 3-phase), transformers, power supplies, fiber optics, generators, plant lighting, plant telephone and paging systems, and HVAC equipment
Perform process instrumentation calibration and repair
Interpret drawings and instruction manuals and perform rigging as necessary to move
Lift, operate, and position heavy equipment
Perform other tasks as assigned
Required Qualifications:
Associate degree in Electronic Engineering Technology or equivalent completion of an approved apprenticeship program
48 months experience in instrument and electrical maintenance in a power plant or heavy industry (Power Plant experience preferred)
Possess a working knowledge of mathematics and physics
Must provide documentation to support their instrument and electrical experience
Possess patience and ability to exercise care when working with small and precision parts
Must possess basic computer skills needed to perform job functions as needed in a computer-based maintenance system.
Ability to climb ladders, lift and carry heavy loads
Ability to work in areas involving heights, enclosed spaces, and near or above water
Must be available and willing to work overtime, and ability to work 12 hour shift work.

The City of Saint Charles Parks and Recreation Department is recruiting for seasonal/part-time Parks Equipment Technician. This position is part-time and is not scheduled to work more than 1,499 hours per year.
Position serves as a part-time support for Parks Mechanic.
Regular duties include providing light services to park vehicles and equipment including pickup trucks, law-enforcement vehicles, diesel and propane mowers, two-cycle engines, motorcycles, and trash trucks.
Conduct regular preventative maintenance services and help support Parks Mechanic with on-going repairs and needs to keep parks equipment functioning and safe.
All applicants must possess or be able to obtain by date of hire a valid driver's license.
Must be 16 years of age.
