What You'll Do: Promote Safety. In accordance with MSHA and Vulcan standards, take an active role in prioritizing safety throughout the operation for yourself and others at all times. Enter and maintain service reports for all the mobile equipment in written or electronic form. Operate Equipment. When necessary, assist in driving heavy equipment and vehicles throughout the plant to ensure efficient production. Perform General Physical Activities. Perform physical activities that require moving your whole body and considerable use of your arms and legs, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials. Additional Responsibilities. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Skills You'll Need:Experience. Experience working on diesel or heavy construction equipment is preferred. Knowledge of Best Practices. Knowledge of general principles and practices of servicing heavy construction equipment is preferred.Flexibility. Must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions and tolerate being exposed to loud noises.Mechanical Skills. Accident/Incident Reporting & Investigation - Must follow the established procedures for responding and reporting accident and incidents.
