Principal Duties/Responsibilities:
· Performs mid to expert level break-fix & preventative maintenance. This includes but is not limited to: observing devises in operation to location root cause of problem; dismantling devices to gain access to and remove defective parts; examining parts to detect imperfections; adjustment of functional parts of devices and control instruments; repair and/or replacement of defective parts; testing of device to observe performance; and performing tests for electrical circuitry and mechanical systems; reconditioning and repairing machine tools.
· Identifies and sources parts, supplies and repair items as necessary.
· Independently performs maintenance as per industry standards.
· May be required to setup and operate multiple machining operations including but not limited to: lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts. May perform welding tasks.
· Complies with 5S and housekeeping standards.
· Drives and participates in CI activities - processes, results and cost savings.
· Updates records and reviews CMMS history.
· Troubleshoots and analyzes control systems to resolve software/ hardware and configuration problems.
· Utilizes predictive maintenance technologies to collect equipment performance data.
· Provides assistance to lower level technicians and leadership to small teams. Performs more advanced functions as a part of training and development.
· Completes on-the-job and technical self-study programs for career development.
· Follows all safety related policies, rules, regulations, technical instructions and guidelines. Situational awareness and identify unsafe behaviors and conditions.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, & Behaviors Required:
· High School Graduate or equivalent (GED).
· Associates degree with a Technical focus and 3 years of related experience in general industry; or 5 years of related experience in general industry or successful completion of the ATS Technician Progression Program.
· Understands electrical, mechanical, fluid power and control systems. Can analyze problems and perform repairs.
· Must be able to use basic hand tools and specialized tools as appropriate
· May be required to travel.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands/fingers to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb, ascend/descend or balance to heights that may require a ladder or lift; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl in confined spaces; and talk or hear. Ethox Chemicals is seeking an Industrial Manufacturing Electrician. The Industrial Electrician is responsible for performing electrical maintenance, repairs, and installations across the facility, with a specific focus on conduit work, motor controls, and high-voltage systems. The position plays a key role in supporting the reliability and safety of operations throughout the facility.
Working Hours:
This position will be assigned to 1st shift hours, 6:30am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday. Occasionally, there may be times when the employee is asked to work outside of his normal hours depending on business needs.
Duties & Responsibilities:
· Install, bend, pull, and secure various types of conduit (EMT, rigid, flexible, etc.), including proper selection and use of fittings and supports.
· Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams to complete installations and repairs.
· Perform installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting on electrical systems and equipment including motors, motor starter circuits, lighting, transformers, VFDs, and PLCs (24V, 110V, 240V, and 480V systems).
· Work with Shop Foreman and assist shift mechanics in completing electrical and general maintenance tasks.
· Perform preventive maintenance inspections and testing of electrical systems and provide feedback on equipment condition.
· Document work performed using maintenance software (MP2), including time, materials, and observations.
· Follow all site safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
· Maintain readiness as a Hazmat Operations-level responder.
· Train and support less experienced mechanics as directed.
· Act as a leader in the shop and train new hires and fellow mechanics per MOPs and general maintenance procedures.
· Availability to work overtime and weekend call-backs as needed.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Qualifications & Experience:
· High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree, technical training, or electrical certification in a relevant field is preferred.
· Minimum 10 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing or chemical plant setting.
· Proficient in conduit installation, electrical troubleshooting, and high-voltage systems.
· Familiarity with MP2 or similar maintenance management systems.
· Ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions.
· Technically inclined and skilled with hand and power tools.
· Ability to successfully interface with customers, associates, and the community.
· Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Strong attention to detail, ability to follow complex requests, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
· Regular and reliable attendance. Required to be on-site.

**Industrial Electrician**
The Industrial Electrician will assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools. Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem. Support project scope and quoting process. Lead the in-house Austin electrical crew. This is accomplished by performing the following essential duties and responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned.
**Specific Duties and Responsibilities:**
+ Serve as the plant's liaison for power distribution
+ Champion for plant single lines in support of plant needs
+ Understand circuit loading assisting with identifying options for new loads
+ Understand arc flash and assist with ensuring system and labeling requirement are sustained & improved.
+ Drive accuracy in single line to field labeling (fed from labeling, panel board legends). Every job is an opportunity to put on fed from labels.
+ Support co-ordination of power distribution maintenance programs - switchgear testing, thermal imaging.
+ Support plant electrical maintenance repairs. Proactive repairs such as lights out is a plus as opposed to waiting for work order to drift in.
+ Support plant electrical projects.
+ Serve as plant liaison for project quotes interacting with plant engineers and Austin engineers.
+ Supervise the Austin electrical crew.
+ Manage Austin electrical crew's workload understanding priorities and interacting closely with plant engineers.
+ Code time and materials to projects and time sheets for proper accounting and cost management.
+ Monitor electrical supplies at the plant to ensure we do not run out of consumables - light bulbs, fuses, conduit and fittings and similar.
+ Keep the shop in compliance with OSHA and plant requirements.
+ Support requests for Austin mechanical / Millwright group labor augmentation where skills allow.
+ Support training Milliken associates on the power distribution and use of meters.
+ Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
+ Troubleshooting and repairing all aspects of electrical power distribution systems.
+ Troubleshooting and repairing all aspects of control circuits.
+ Troubleshooting and repairing AC induction motors of all types, single and three phases.
+ Utilize and become proficient with various electrical test equipment including but not limited to: VOM, insulation resistance tester, micro-ohmmeter, Motor Circuit Analyzer (MCE).
+ Develop a working knowledge of various PLC manufactures and Control systems to assist with troubleshooting and interlock testing.
+ Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
+ Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
+ Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, and voltmeters, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
+ Repair or replace wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
+ Work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
+ Place conduit (pipes or tubing) inside designated partitions, walls, or other concealed areas, and pull insulated wires or cables through the conduit to complete circuits between boxes.
+ Must be able to perform work wearing personnel protective equipment. Including but not limited to the following: rain gear, chemical protective clothing, supplied air and air purifying respirators, safety harness, sand blast hoods, fire resistant coveralls, hard hat, ear plugs and safety glasses.
+ While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to have full range of mobility in upper and lower body, able to reach overhead, able to work in various positions, including, but not limited to, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling, squatting; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance for extended periods of time.

**Qualifications Required for this Position:**
**Education** : no minimum education requirements. Journeyman preferred.
**Experience:** 5 - 10 years of experience in an industrial setting preferred.
