The incumbent is assigned jobs by the supervisor and is expected to complete most jobs, including those of a complex nature, with little to no supervision. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems, equipment, and controls within the food processing plant. Maintain and service motors, drives, conveyors, Cookers, Coolers, dryers, packaging machinery, and automated systems. Ensure compliance with all applicable electrical codes, safety regulations, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and food safety standards. Work closely with production and maintenance teams to minimize downtime and optimize performance. Perform preventive and predictive maintenance according to established schedules. Maintain detailed maintenance and repair logs in ERP/CMMS (Computer Maintenance Management System). QUALIFICATIONS Strong knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, control panels, sensors, and instrumentation. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation. Excellent troubleshooting skills and a proactive attitude toward electrical maintenance. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Must own all basic tools to be used on the job. (Specialty tools will be provided). EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE High school diploma or equivalent. Journeyman Electrician License or equivalent certification required. Probe Equipment Technicians are responsible for maintenance of all Probe equipment, which includes, but is not limited to, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, response to equipment alarms (pause bins and O+ rules), failure root cause analysis, and equipment verifications and calibrations. Probe Equipment Technicians work on all Probe equipment at the Nampa facility, including Teradyne IP750 testers, Accretech Probers, ESI lasers, and Screen/DNS scrubbers. ON Semiconductor operations are 24/7 with 4 working shifts. Shift: A shift Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and e/o Wednesday, 6am-6pm Minimum of Associate degree in electronics or equivalent experience Strong computer skills (Windows OS and Excel) Able to work in cleanroom environment Capable of lifting 40 pounds Ability to work a 12 hr. shift Ability to work on a regular 4 month rotation (day-night) A high level of attention to detail The ability to be self-motivated and to handle multiple tasks Be able to evaluate a schedule and prioritize work based on that schedule and/or change priorities Strong understanding of component level electronics Ability to follow a detailed procedure Excellent problem solving skills Good organizational skills Strong communication skills Work in a team environment Ability to work with limited supervision Preventative maintenance Work with the tool owners to create/improve work instructions, procedures, and best known methods for performing equipment maintenance Properly and thoroughly document all equipment maintenance work performed using the Maintenance Manager (MaiMa) application Debug/Failure Analysis of production test fails Troubleshooting to board level on Testers and Probers Yield issue troubleshooting Respond and react to equipment alarms, pause bins, and O+ rule alerts Performing necessary verifications/calibrations on IP750 Testers Performing voltage measurements Hard drive replacement Working on various PC problems Reading electronic block diagrams Maintenance of Probe area equipment Communicating with Engineering and various groups throughout the plant

FULL SUMMARY We are looking for a results-oriented Mining Equipment Technician. This role is responsible for independent diagnosis, failure analysis, and repair of Caterpillar mining equipment. Duties include but not limited to removing, repairing, assembling, installing according to manufacturer specifications and technician appropriate skillset. This position will complete required repairs on assigned customer mining site and will adhere to all site procedures and safety requirements Diagnosis, Troubleshooting, and Repair Engines and Powertrain Electrical, Hydraulics, HVAC, and Cab Undercarriage SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES: Ability to navigate Microsoft products. Ability to obtain job related certifications for any specialty equipment such as but not limited to forklifts, rigging and overhead cranes, etc. General knowledge of manufacturer specific software. (SIS, ET, and STW) Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with others. Consistent attendance and timeliness with the ability to work overtime with limited notice. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Proof of high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED). Associates degree in diesel technology, trade school diploma, preferred. Minimum of three years equivalent experience in a Caterpillar or similar environment with hydraulic, engine and powertrain experience required. Mining equipment experience preferred. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required. Appropriate technician level tooling required. Ability to obtain all MSHA certifications as required by customer site. Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write in English).
