Our client, a manufacturer of quality consumer products is growing and adding to the team. This is a 2nd shift position (3-11:30 M-F). The Electrical Maintenance Technician will apply skills, experience and general knowledge to a wide range of complex tasks to troubleshoot, including hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, mechanical issues with production operations equipment, adjust, install, repair, dissemble, replace, and reassemble and maintain equipment or facilities. Responsibilities for the 2nd shift Electrical Maintenance Technician Job near Alden, NY include:

• Performs monthly preventive maintenance and inspections on all major facility equipment
• Works with outside contractors, when necessary, which may include procuring parts and services.
• Performs all general maintenance functions.
• Assist other departments and engineers with facility and mechanical tasks.
• Investigates, develops, and implements new process technologies of small to moderate scope.
• Identify electrical issues in systems or equipment as they occur.
• Perform unsupervised “walk through” of facility to monitor, check and report on conditions.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent. Associates degree preferred.
• 5 or more years of maintenance experience in commercial, industrial, or manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of refrigeration and mechanical systems and solid trouble-shooting skills. Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, pneumatic & hydraulic pressure systems. Must possess excellent mechanical and basic electrical knowledge, aptitude, and principles.
• Knowledge of CMMS and preventative maintenance systems and building automation systems is preferred.

Job Description:

Service Technician will be working within the Lehigh Valley area - all local work. Tech will be working independently and servicing all Commercial clients. Big clients consist of car dealerships, commercial buildings, performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repair electrical systems and providing great customers service.

Must Haves:

• 3+ years of commercial service experience
• Electrical technician
• Light fixtures, switches, alarms, electrical systems
• Customer service

Pay Rate : $25.00 - $34.00/hr (Based on Experience)

Hours: Monday - Friday from 6:30am - 3:00pm, no weekends and no on-call schedule

Location : All the work will be in the Lehigh Valley area, about a 45 min radius of the shop only.

• Deep understanding of high-voltage wiring (480V 3-phase motors)
• Multi-craft maintenance and repair (e.g. performing interrelated repairs on electrical systems and mechanical systems)

Professional insight and knowledge of the operation of our equipment will enable you to understand problems and take action to resolve issues. Do you have an electrical certification, maintenance manufacturing experience, technical school training, or welding experience?

If so, you are likely well-equipped to join the team. We have a robust training program that can benefit you provided that you have a proven base knowledge of mechanical maintenance repair (especially with regard to electrical repair multi-craft repairs). Although its not required, many managers prefer that candidates have at least two years training experience in mechanical/electrical repair in a manufacturing environment. Please be sure that you meet the following minimum requirements for this position:

• You are at least 18 years of age or older
• You will be required to work on weekends and holidays
• Ability to lift 15 to 50 pounds with or without a reasonable accommodation
