Electrician License Preferred MAIN ACTIVITIES CARRIED OUT Performs preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electromechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment according to supplier specifications. Estimates time and material costs for assigned projects. Dismantles equipment to gain access to and repairs defective parts using hand tools, power tools and precision measuring and testing devices. May fabricate devices and assemblies from steel. May weld, thread pipe and solder using gas and electric equipment. Re-assembles and tests equipment ensuring safe and efficient operating condition is restored. Inspects and troubleshoots electrical systems, equipment and fixtures using testing devices and diagnoses basic operational problems. Takes corrective action and obtains necessary repair parts per procedure in assigned area. Prepares work orders either manually or from a CMMS system as required and prepares work related reports, procurement requisitions, charts, graphs and data submittal requirements in an accurate and timely manner. Performs electrically-related activities specified by work order and installs new or replacement electrical systems, equipment and fixtures. Reports and documents results of inspections and work performed. Performs facility maintenance and repair and may replace or install damaged glass, windows, doors, partitions, ceiling or floor tile, door locks, carpet, and/or paint. We are seeking a highly skilled Preventative Maintenance Technician (PM Tech) who will be responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance and emergency repairs at our various plants throughout Southeast Louisiana. The PM Tech will service plant equipment, troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues and work to ensure minimal downtime. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, excellent communication and a commitment to safety. At times the PM Tech will work independently and at times will work with other members of the maintenance or operations department.
