Carbide Industries is seeking a qualified Journeyman Electrician for a full-time position at our manufacturing facility in Louisville, KY. Our Louisville facility has been making Calcium Carbide for customers in the steel and fuel gas industries since 1941 and operates the only Calcium Carbide furnace in the US and Canada. We employ approximately 150 people in the state of Kentucky. Our Journeyman Electrician team members work around the clock to provide crucial support services for the Louisville plant. The Electromechanical will Plan and perform a range of duties to maintain, service, and repair plant machinery, electrical, and facilities, including a normal range of gas and arc welding, flame cutting and fabrication operations.
