As an Apprentice Electrician 4, you'll advance your expertise in the electrical trade, building upon the knowledge and skills acquired during your previous years of apprenticeship. Position Summary The Industrial Electrical Maintenance Technician is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of electrical power distribution, control, and protection systems across Samsung Austin Foundry site(s). Role and Responsibilities Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems including switchgear, MCCs, transformers, panelboards, and lighting systems. Troubleshoot and repair faults in motors, drives, and control circuits to maintain uptime and reliability. Support commissioning, start-up, and system energization activities for new equipment and upgrades. Perform functional testing on protection devices and perform electrical diagnostic testing (insulation resistance, contact resistance, power factor, relay tests, thermography, etc.). Maintain and troubleshoot Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) - Yaskawa, Mitsubishi, ABB, or equivalent - ensuring performance and parameter integrity.
