Function as an Apprentice Electrician, under a certified or licensed Electrician for Bergelectric Corp. assist electricians with installing new electrical systems and repairing existing electrical systems while maintaining compliance with national, state, and local electrical codes along with all Bergelectric Corp. policies and procedures. Support activities at commercial, industrial, institutional and residential project locations. This is considered to be a safety sensitive position.
Responsibilities
Assist with the installation, repair, maintenance and testing of commercial, industrial and residential electrical systems in full support of Bergelectric Corp. safety, operations and productivity initiatives.
Use industry related hand tools and power tools, under supervision.
Assist the Electrician with measuring, cutting, bending, threading and installing wire and electrical cable systems, conduit systems and other wire raceway systems.
Assist the Electrician with wires and cables within control centers, distribution boxes, transformers, transducers, switch gear, receptacles, switches, etc.
Work with an Electrician to splice and terminate wires at junction points.
Clean, gather and transport materials to electricians on the construction site.
Communicate effectively with Foremen and crew members.
Maintain workflow schedule to ensure all Bergelectric Corp. productivity objectives are met.
Demonstrate the highest level of professionalism and courtesy when interacting with colleagues, customers and vendors.
Adhere to all Bergelectric Corp.'s safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Must be currently enrolled or working on enrollment in an approved Apprentice program.
Knowledge of electrical theory, basic circuits, branch circuits, and specialty systems.
Knowledge of magnetic induction, three-phase transformers, conductors and wiring methods.
The ability to read and understand electrical single line blueprints.
Familiar with aspects of operation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems.
Basic knowledge of tools and equipment and how to safely use them.
Physical Demands
Lift 50 lbs. from the ground and pull 50 lbs. of force.
Perform ladder climbing, wire pulling and conduit pulling.
Fully squat, stoop or kneel while wearing a 25 lbs. tool belt.
Maintain a standing position for long periods of time while performing repetitive actions such as grasping or manipulating wires.
Work off of ladders, man lifts or reach booms.
Working Environment
A variety of weather conditions including cold, snow, rain, heat, etc.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Include the following:
Perform repairs and maintenance tasks such as painting, patching, re-lamping, replacing ceiling tiles, door hardware repair, and correcting simple plumbing problems, as required.
Assist other Maintenance Mechanics in performing routine preventative maintenance on electrical equipment, motors, controllers, and electro/mechanical devices.
Respond to building service calls; assist Maintenance Technicians in troubleshooting problems within facility and taking corrective action.
Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on domestic water systems and related mechanical systems.
Perform minor structural and mechanical tasks, electrical maintenance, and other duties.
Prepares a variety of surfaces (e.g. cleaning, sanding, patching, masking, nail holes, cracks, joints, etc.) to insure they are ready for painting and/or refinishing.
Operates, cleans and maintains all painting equipment, including brush, roll, sprayers and electrostatic sprayers, pumps, etc.
Interpret, explain and apply building codes, rules and regulations involved in assigned maintenance activities.
Follow the preventive maintenance program, energy management program and standard operating procedures for all machinery and equipment.
Perform proper methods of labeling, storing equipment, materials, and supplies in a safe manner.
Record and log all work performed, complete work order slips and compile all required reports in a timely and complete manner.
Promote a safe working environment for all employees by following the life safety and emergency program as needed.
Operate equipment, such as, light trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts, access lifts, or other light power driven equipment.
May occasionally have to enter areas where fumes, airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals are present. Work at heights using correct safety equipment.
Develop and submit lists of necessary repairs and improvements.
May perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Education/ Experience:
High School Diploma or GED required, or 2 years of comparable experience plus required related experience may be considered in lieu of diploma.
Technical training in HVAC preferred.
Apprentice Electricians License preferred.
EPA Universal Certification preferred.
Two (2) years' experiences operating and maintaining building mechanical systems to include HVAC, plumbing, electrical and fire and life safety related experience
Other Qualifications
Be licensed to operate a motor vehicle in the United States.
Possess any licenses, certificates or training required by local, state, or national authorities for the operation of the equipment found in the facility.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move around the facility; to stand for long hours during events; talk and hear. This position may require work inside or outside of the building, as needed by events.

Function as a Journeyman for Bergelectric Corp.; installing new electrical systems and repairing existing electrical systems while maintaining compliance with national, state and local electrical codes along with all Bergelectric Corp. policies and procedures. Support activities at commercial, industrial, institutional and residential locations. This is considered to be a safety sensitive position.
Responsibilities
Install, repair, maintain, and test commercial, industrial and residential electrical systems in full support of Bergelectric Corp. safety, operations and productivity initiatives.
Use industry related hand tools and power tools.
Measure, cut, bend, thread, etc. and install wire and electrical cable systems, conduit systems and other wire raceway systems.
Feed to, pull into, and terminate wire and cable within control centers, distribution boxes, transformers, transducers, switch gear, receptacles, switches, etc.
Splice and terminate wires at junction points.
Troubleshoot equipment electrical systems and control circuits and build control panels from drawings.
Prepare sketches and schematic diagrams showing the location of wiring and electrical systems.
Delegate tasks and assist with training other employees.
Communicate effectively with Foremen and crew members.
Maintain workflow schedule to ensure all Bergelectric Corp. productivity objectives are met.
Demonstrate the highest level of professionalism and courtesy when interacting with colleagues, customers and vendors.

Qualifications
Must hold a current Journeyman Wireman license (if required by the applicable state, city or county).

Experience finding and repairing faults in electrical apparatus and circuits.

Physical Demands
