Job Description The Hydro Plant Electrician is responsible for the lead in performing checkout, troubleshooting, installation, modification, and repair of electrical equipment/controls associated with the following power generating plants: pumped storage and conventional hydroelectric plants and simple cycle gas turbine plants. Performing preventive and predictive maintenance on plant electrical equipment that includes Baker surge testing, partial discharge data collection, thermographic and airborne ultrasonic inspections, high voltage and current testing, TTR testing, and Ductor testing. Responsible for generating electric power in compliance with corporate safety policies, mandatory electric reliability standards, and regulations from FERC, EPA, EPD, OSHA, DOT, and other pertinent governmental authorities. Job Duties: Takes the lead in performing check-outs, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical equipment such as, but is not limited to, protective relays, over-current devices, meters and transducers, electrical switchgear and circuit breakers, electric motors and motor controls, generators and excitation equipment, batteries, and power inversion and conversion equipment. Job DescriptionElectromechanical Technician Expert Technical Solutions is seeking an Electromechanical Technician for one of our premier, industry leading clients in Lithia Springs, GA (30122). This person will provide service, repair, and periodic maintenance or training for installed systems and equipment-primarily Dematic Integrated AutoStore and multiple integrated PLC conveyor systems. The primary objective is to ensure maximum system availability and performance. This role will report directly to the Director of OPEX. This is a Permanent, ONSITE opportunity offering strong pay, excellent benefits, and unlimited growth potential. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Participate in equipment trial runs, implementations, tests, repairs, and overhauls. Assist in training related to products and services. Perform maintenance on tools, test equipment, and systems. Maintain documentation of all inspections, maintenance, repair work, and failures. Respond to service calls and support product/equipment performance assessments. Recommend modifications or improvements based on field data. Identify and resolve moderately complex problems, referring more advanced issues as needed. Be available for on-call, weekend, and off-shift work as required. Write concise, complete trip reports within required timeframes per company procedures. Demonstrate proficiency in personal computers for word processing, databases, and communications. Understand computer hardware setup and software configuration. Possess hands-on experience troubleshooting PLCs. AutoStore - Essential Duties Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance inspections on AutoStore robots, following established checklists and documentation. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues on AutoStore robots. Troubleshoot malfunctions and perform adjustments, repairs, or component replacements. Perform track shift initialization and execute manual track shifts using all required safety precautions. Safely remove non-functional robots from the grid. Retrieve logs from robot SD cards for troubleshooting. Add new robots to the system per documented procedures. Monitor robot performance and identify potential issues before downtime occurs. Respond to robot alarms and error messages, taking appropriate corrective actions. Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate technical support team. You must be able to travel to our client's Distribution Centers and customers across the US for installations and support on an as needed basis. All travel expenses are paid for by the employee and then the employee is reimbursed by the company. Required Experience: Trade School Graduate or 2-year Associates Degree program in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electromechanical technology required 2+ years' experience troubleshooting electromechanical and/or mechanical equipment 1+ years of experience providing service, repair, and maintenance for Dematic Integrated AutoStore and/or other AutoStore systems (DIQ experience highly preferred) 1+ year of experience providing service, repair, and maintenance for multiple Integrated PLC Conveyor Systems (Swisslog preferred) Experience with Manhattan WMS highly preferred Demonstrated experience diagnosing and repairing automated equipment, preferably in a warehouse or distribution center environment Ability and willingness to travel 20% (After the first year) Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations. Able to write reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals. Must effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and customers. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Must be able to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Proficiency with inventory software, order processing systems, warehouse management systems, and payroll systems. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, talk, and hear. Frequent standing and use of hands/fingers to handle or feel are required. Occasional sitting and reaching with hands and arms occur. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
