Plant Maintenance Technician II

We are looking for 2 Plant Maintenance Technician's to support all maintenance, repairs, and operational reliability in a food-grade production and packing house equipment. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and supporting production lines, processing systems, and facility equipment to minimize downtime and ensure safe, efficient operations in alignment with B&W Quality Growers' standards.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Perform all duties in a safe manner and according to B&W Quality Growers' standards and procedures.
Complete all assigned CMMS work orders accurately and on time.
Perform emergency, corrective, and preventative maintenance on plant, packing house, and production line equipment, including conveyors, washers, sorters, packers, and processing machinery.
Provide hands-on maintenance support during live production, troubleshooting issues in real time to reduce downtime.
Prepare facility, packing house, and processing equipment for seasonal start-up and shutdown.
Read and interpret equipment O&M manuals, electrical schematics, and technical documentation.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical and electronic equipment faults across production and facility systems.
Maintain clear communication with the Maintenance Supervisor regarding equipment status, repairs, and priorities.
Manage workload and supervise tasks effectively with minimal supervision.
Ability to work a minimum of six (6) days per week and twelve (12) hours per day; weekend work is required.

Education & Experience

Intermediate electrical and mechanical skills required, including motors, gearboxes, bearings, and related systems.
Industrial Maintenance Training required.
Experience with basic ammonia refrigeration, HVAC, industrial ice machines, and boilers preferred.
Willingness to pursue continued education and hands-on training on equipment and systems.
Computer Skills
High computer proficiency required.
PLC programming experience preferred (Allen Bradley a plus).

Job Summary

What would you do as our Maintenance Technician?
You will make sure that all plant equipment is maintained and in good operating condition to minimize downtime, optimize production, and ensure that it's a safe working environment for everyone.
You would also:
Perform entry to mid-level break-fix & preventative maintenance. This includes but not limited to: adjusting functional parts of devices and control instruments to sustain and improve operations; repairing or replacing defective parts; reconditioning or repairing machine tools.

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for assisting in carrying out the maintenance processes of the property, including corrective, preventative, routine, emergency, and cosmetic maintenance. Summary
Our company has an immediate opening for Electrician - Asphalt Plant in Vero Beach, Fl. The Electrician - Asphalt Plant is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems, equipment, and controls at asphalt plant facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience with industrial electrical systems, motor controls, and PLCs, and be comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor environments under physically demanding conditions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, wiring, controls, motors, and plant equipment.
Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems to minimize downtime and ensure safe operation.
Diagnose and repair electrical malfunctions in asphalt plant equipment, including conveyors, feeders, motors, pumps, and control systems.
Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.
Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and company policies.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Assist with plant start-up, shutdown, and operational support.
Maintain tools, testing equipment, and electrical parts inventory in proper working condition.
Support plant upgrades and installations of new electrical components.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
Minimum 1-2 years of experience as an industrial electrician.
Knowledge of high and low voltage systems, motor controls, and PLC troubleshooting.
Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams.
Familiarity with VFDs, sensors, and plant control systems.
Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently.
Must adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
Reliable transportation to and from the job site.
Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and travel between plant sites as needed.

Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.

Qualifications:

What We're Looking For
• At least 6 years of hands -on heavy equipment experience (rental industry experience is a plus but not required)
• Strong knowledge of John Deere, Komatsu, Caterpillar, Bobcat, or similar construction equipment
• JLG/Genie certification preferred but not required
• Ability to troubleshoot diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and basic electronics
• Comfortable working independently in the field and interacting with customers professionally
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to learn increasingly complex systems
• Able to follow all applicable safety rules, laws, and procedures
• Accurate record keeping in both written work orders and digital systems

• Install, repair, and maintain medium and low voltage power distribution, motor control centers, generators, transformers, ATS units, lighting controls, and related equipment.

Responsibilities:
Inspect on a routine basis electrical equipment wiring, fixtures, and other components to ensure they remain functional and are up to code, as well as to identify any hazards or issues.
Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
Perform routine preventative maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
Respond to work order requests in a timely fashion by analyzing test results, machine error messages, and information obtained from operators to diagnose equipment problems.
