**Overview**
The Electrical Technician I is responsible for installations, alterations, additions and/or repairs of electrical systems, conductors and associated materials and equipment within the residential, commercial and industrial electrical industry. Key Responsibilities:
Identify issues or potential issues that are in need or will need repair, service or replacement
Enforcing safety rules and regulations, observing safe work practices
Training Preventative Maintenance Technicians on various inspections, maintenance and safety procedures as needed
Perform routine maintenance and inspections on ready mix plants and plant equipment including but not limited to, mixers conveyors and batching equipment
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical and pneumatic issues to ensure optimal plant operations
Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize equipment failures and downtime
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities including repairs made and parts used
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all maintenance activities
Collaborate with Preventative Maintenance Technicians, Plant Manager, Operations Manager and other team members to prioritize and schedule maintenance tasks
Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment as necessary
Identify hazards and maintain clean and organized working areas
Direct daily work of PM Techs, identifying areas of need and areas of improvement
Requirements
Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience in plant maintenance, preferably in the concrete or construction industry
Strong mechanical, electrical and pneumatic troubleshooting skills
Knowledge of ready mix plant operations and equipment
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
Demonstrated leadership skills, ability and experience
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently with minimum oversight and ability to work as a team
Strong communication skills including ability to train or coach others

Qualifications Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.
4 or more years of experience and meets requirements.

Clearly understand and comply with company/job safety requirements. (OSHA).
Must have ability & knowledge to properly give "hand signals" to operators.
Knowledge of series circuits, Ohms's Law, DC Circuits and resistance and its effect.
Ability to add, subtract, divide and use electrical formulas accurately.
Knowledge of blueprints/shop drawings, including symbol use.
Knowledge of use of degrees in bending conduit (i.e. concentric bending.).
Knowledge of switching procedures.
Knowledge and understanding of OSHA requirements.

We are looking for a RENTAL EQUIPMENT TECHNICIAN to join our growing operations at our Covington Rents, Louisiana location.
SALARY POTENTIAL
60,000 - $72,000 yearly range
The yearly range indicated is representative of the hourly rate, including typical overtime. This range is based on a technician's experience, skills, education and training. For technicians, overtime is typically calculated on a daily basis after 8 hours worked.
